Li Haiguan, formerly known as Xitao, male, Han nationality, was born in May 1920 in Xining, Qinghai Province. He graduated from national Northwest Normal University in 1944. He has been the principal of Xining middle school in Qinghai Province for many years. He is the first and second directors of China Calligrapher Association, vice chairman and honorary chairman of Qinghai Calligrapher Association, and chairman and honorary chairman of Xining Calligrapher Association.
The work income is "100 pieces of modern Chinese calligraphy in Ming and Qing Dynasties". Influenced by his uncle Li Deyuan and yuan, he was fond of calligraphy. He took Tang Kai as his ancestor and studied ou, Yan, Liu, Zhao and Zhang of Yuan Dynasty. He wrote Zuo Jun and sun Guoting in cursive script and studied Cao Quan's tablet and San Lao's tablet in official script. The regular script is strict and elegant. The cursive style is bold, vigorous and free. His works were selected in the first and second national calligraphy and seal cutting exhibitions, Zhengzhou International Calligraphy Exhibition, Kaifeng international temporary calligraphy exhibition, and China Ming, Qing and modern calligraphy exhibition held in Japan in 1980. They are collected by museums, memorials, Shantou Hanwen temple, Wuhan Yellow Crane Tower, Sichuan Yinling mountain, Kaifeng Hanyuan, Hancheng Simaqian temple, etc. He was enthusiastic about calligraphy education and social activities, and participated in organizing the Qinghai Branch of Chinese Calligrapher Association and Xining Calligrapher Association.
