Li Linfu
Li Linfu (683-753, January 3), a small character elder brother slave, was born in Longxi. He was the patriarch and Prime Minister of the Tang Dynasty and the great grandson of Li Shuliang, king of Changping.
Li Linfu was born in the royal family of the Tang Dynasty. He started his career as a minister of rites in 735, and was awarded three titles of tongzhongshu. In 736, he was appointed the right Minister of Zhongshu on behalf of Zhang Jiuling Shangshu left servant shot. In his 19th year as prime minister, he was the longest reigning prime minister in the period of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty. However, in the later period, he held the power alone, blocked the way and excluded the talents, which led to the disorder of the imperial platform. He also proposed to use Hu generals to make the power of Anlushan grow. He is considered to be one of the key figures to turn the Tang Dynasty from prosperity to decline.
In November of the 11th year of Tianbao (January 753), Li Linfu died of illness and gave it to Taiwei and governor of Yangzhou. Later, he was falsely accused of treason by Yang Guozhong. He was cut off and buried. He lost his family property and his descendants were exiled.
Life of the characters
Early experience
In his early years, Li Linfu was the head of Qianniu. He was well versed in temperament and was deeply loved by his uncle Jiang Jiao. He was appointed Prince zhongyun during the Kaiyuan period. Yuan Qianyao and Jiang Jiao are related by marriage, and his son Yuan Jie is Li Linfu's son, who seeks the position of a doctor. Yuan Qianyao said with a smile: "Lang Guan should have talent and reputation. Can ge nu (Li Linfu's nickname) also be Lang Guan?" As a result, Li Linfu was only granted the title of Prince Yu De, and later moved to Guozi Si Ye.
Tired promotion
In the 14th year of Kaiyuan (726), Li Linfu was introduced by Yu Wenrong and was awarded the title of Zhongcheng, the imperial censor. Later, he served as the Minister of punishment and Minister of officials. He was gentle in nature and skillful in politics. He had a deep friendship with eunuchs and concubines in the palace. He knew Xuanzong's actions like the palm of his hand. Every time he played a duet, he could conform to Xuanzong's intention and was highly appreciated. At that time, Empress Wu huifei was in favor of the Queen's palace. Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty doted on her son Li Mao, the king of longevity, while he was alienated from Prince Li Ying. Through the eunuch Gan Ye Wu huifei, Li Linfu expressed his willingness to do his best to protect Shouwang. Wu huifei was very grateful and secretly helped him.
In 733, Pei Guangting died of illness. Pei Guangting's wife is Wu Sansi's daughter. She had an affair with Li Linfu, and Gao Lishi, the eunuch, was born in Wu Sansi's mansion. After Pei Guangting died, Wu asked Gao Lishi to recommend Li Linfu to take over the post of prime minister, but Gao did not dare to agree. Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty appointed Han Xiu, Youcheng, the Minister of Chinese history, as his servant because of Xiao Song's recommendation. Gao Lishi divulges the news to Wu family and asks Li Linfu to tell Han Xiu in advance. After paying homage to the prime minister, Han Xiu disagreed with Xiao Song, but he was very grateful to Li Linfu, so he recommended Li Linfu and thought that he had the talent of prime minister. Wu huifei also secretly helped, so Li Linfu was awarded the title of the yellow gate servant.
As prime minister
In the 23rd year of Kaiyuan (735), Li Linfu was worshipped as the Minister of rites and the Minister of tongzhongshu. He was also the Minister of Jiayin qingguanglu. He served as the prime minister together with Pei Yaoqing and Zhang Jiuling, the Minister of Zhongshu. Later, he successively served as the Minister of Hubu and the Minister of Bingbu. At that time, Prince Li Ying, king of Hubei Li Yao and king of light Li Ju complained about their mother's fall out of favor. They were told by Yang Hui, the emperor's son-in-law's Du Wei, that Princess Wu Hui complained to Xuanzong. Xuanzong was so angry that he negotiated with the prime minister to depose Sanzi. Zhang Jiuling tried her best to dissuade him, saying that she did not dare to obey the imperial edict. Li Linfu didn't say a word to his face. After retiring from the court, he privately said to the eunuchs, "this is the family affair of the emperor. Why discuss with outsiders?"
In the 24th year of Kaiyuan (736), Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty wanted to add a seal to Niu Xianke, the festival envoy of Shuofang. Zhang Jiuling thought that Niu Xianke was not well educated and tried to dissuade him, which caused Xuanzong's displeasure. Li Linfu said in private: "as long as you have talent and knowledge, you need not be full of wisdom. Why can't the emperor use people? " After Tang Xuanzong dismissed Zhang Jiuling and Pei Yaoqing as prime ministers on the ground of forming a party, and appointed Li Linfu and Niu Xianke as prime ministers. Li Linfu was awarded the title of zhongshuling, the great scholar of Jixian hall, and the master of national history. Later, the censor Zhouzi liangzou claimed that Niu Xianke was not the talent of the prime minister and was killed by Xuanzong. Li Linfu also took the opportunity to say that Zhou Ziliang was introduced by Zhang Jiuling. Zhang Jiuling also demoted Jingzhou as a long history.
In the 25th year of Kaiyuan (737), Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty believed Li Linfu's words and dismissed Prince Li Ying, king of Hubei Li Yao and king of Guangwang Li Ju as common people at the same time. Meanwhile, he exiled Xue Xiu, Li Ying's wife and brother-in-law's commander-in-chief. Before long, Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty gave death to the three commoners, and all the people were unjust. In July of the same year, Xu Qiao, the young minister of Dali, said: "the prison of Dali temple is so murderous that birds dare not inhabit. Today, there are only 58 death penalty cases a year decided by the Ministry of punishment, and there are black magpies nesting in the prison. " All the ministers went up to pay homage and praised it for the good public order. Tang Xuanzong thought that it was the prime minister's credit, so he named Li Linfu the Duke of Jin.
In the 26th year of Kaiyuan (738), Li Linfu was also the governor of Longyou and Hexi. At that time, Wu huifei had died of illness, and the throne of the East Palace was vacant. Li Linfu tried to persuade Tang Xuanzong several times to make Li Mao, the king of longevity, the crown prince, but Xuanzong preferred Li Yu, the loyal king. He thought Li Yu was old, benevolent, filial and respectful, diligent and studious, and Gaulish also supported him. In June of the same year, Li Yu was made the crown prince and later renamed Li Heng. The next year (739), Li Linfu also served as the Minister of the Ministry of civil and military affairs.
In 742, Emperor Xuanzong changed the official system. Li Linfu was changed to the right prime minister and minister, Zuo pushe, and Jia Guanglu, but he was removed from the post of governor. In the sixth year of Tianbao's reign (747), Li Linfu added Kaifu Yitong and Sansi, and was granted three hundred real titles. Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty was very fond of him. Whenever there were imperial delicacies and remote delicacies in the palace, he ordered the eunuchs to reward him in his house, so that the roads met each other. At that time, Li Linfu introduced Chen xilie as prime minister. He deals with government affairs at home, and all officials gather in front of the government to wait for him. Although Chen xilie was in the political affairs hall, he was not seen, and he never dared to participate in opinions. He just signed his name on the official documents.

Because Li Linfu did not contribute to the establishment of Prince Li Heng, he worried that there would be disasters in the future, so he had the idea of setting up a prison to shake the east palace. He aims at Wei Jian, Li Heng's wife and brother, and leads him to an important position. However, he orders Yang Shenjin, the Prime Minister of the imperial censor, to spy on his faults. Huangfu, the governor of Longyou, only entered the court in Ming Dynasty to offer his victory. Seeing that Li Linfu was in power, he suggested Tang Xuanzong to remove him, which aroused Li Linfu's jealousy. On the 15th day of the first month of the fifth year of Tianbao (746), Li Heng went out to visit the palace and ran into Wei Jian, who met Huangfu Weiming secretly. Yang Shenjin exposed to Xuanzong that Wei Jian was an inner relative and should not make friends with the generals. Li Linfu took the opportunity to falsely play, saying that Wei Jian colluded with Huangfu Weiming and wanted to support the crown prince as emperor. Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty was so angry that he demoted Wei Jian and Huangfu Weiming, and ordered Li hengxiu to abandon the Crown Princess Wei. The Prime Minister Li Shizhi was afraid to resign and was dismissed as the crown prince Shaobao.
In November of the same year, Li Linfu launched another unjust case against Prince Li Heng. At that time, Du Youlin, the father of Prince Du Liangdi, was at odds with his son-in-law Liu Ji. Liu Ji falsely accused Du Youlin of "falsely claiming prophecy, constructing the eastern palace, and denouncing Chengyu". Li Linfu ordered Cao Wangwei, a Beijing Zhaoshi, to be interrogated together with Yang Guozhong. In the end, Du Youlin and Liu Ji were all killed by the staff, and Du Liangdi was also abolished as a commoner. In this incident, many local officials were also affected. Li Yong, the prefect of Beihai and Pei Dunfu, the prefect of Zichuan, were killed by the staff, while Wei Jian and Huangfu Weiming were killed by the staff. The censor Luo Xilin inspected the local areas and killed relegated officials from Qingzhou to Lingnan. Li Shizhi, the former prime minister, was demoted to be the prefect of Yichun. He was frightened and killed himself by taking poison. Li Linfu ordered his son Li Shi to be killed in Henan Province. Wang Ju, the hero of the coup d'etat, demoted Ren Jianghua to Sima. He took poison but did not die, and then hanged himself.
Wang Zhongsi was raised in the palace when he was young. He had a deep friendship with Prince Li Heng. Later, he served as the governor of four towns, controlling Hexi, Longyou, Hedong and Shuofang, which made him a powerful frontier. Li Linfu was worried that he would become a worshipper and threaten his position. He was very afraid of him. In the sixth year of Tianbao (747), general Dong Yanguang failed in his attack on Shibao city. He called Wang Zhongsi Ju the commander of the army. Tang Xuanzong was displeased. Li Linfu took the opportunity to instruct Jiyang not to drive. Wei Lin falsely accused Wang Zhongsi, saying that he wanted to support the army and honor the prince. Although Tang Xuanzong expressed his disbelief, he still seized the military power of Wang Zhongsi, recalled him to the imperial court and demoted him to Hanyang Prefecture. Although Li Linfu tried to separate the relationship between Xuanzong and the crown prince, he was filial and cautious, and was protected by Zhang Xun and Gao Lishi.
Li Linfu was suspicious of Yang Shenjin, who was becoming more and more powerful. He recommended Wang Chen as the imperial Zhongcheng and regarded him as his confidant. Wang Shensu was contemptible by Yang Shenjin and held a grudge against him, so he created rumors under the instigation of Li Linfu, saying that Yang Shenjin was the xuansun of emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty. He colluded with warlocks and secretly hid prophecy books in an attempt to restore the Sui Dynasty. Emperor Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty was so angry that he sent Yang Shenjin to prison and ordered the third division to hold a joint trial. Li Linfu also planted a frame up and ordered Lu Xuan, the palace's official, to collect the prophecy book, saying it was found in Yang Shenjin's home. In the end, Yang Shenjin was exterminated. In the eighth year of Tianbao (749), Zhao Fengzhang, the prefect of Xianning, exposed more than 20 counts of Li Linfu. As a result, Li Linfu knew the crime before he presented it. He ordered the censor to arrest him and kill him for the crime of evil words.
In the 10th year of Tianbao (751), Li Linfu was concurrently in charge of the Tutu of Anxi, the Jiedushi of Shuofang, and the Deputy Tutu of Chanyu. In the 11th year of Tianbao (752), Li Linfu, in view of the precedent of Zhang Jiazhen, Wang GUI, Zhang Shuo and other literary officials who joined the prime minister by frontier generals in Kaiyuan, wanted to eliminate the root of the situation and consolidate his prime minister power. He asked to resign from his part-time post as Shuofang Jiedu envoy, recommended an Sishun to succeed him, and said: "Wen Chen is a general, afraid of war, it's better to use Han and fan people. The Tibetans were brave and good at fighting, but the Han people did not
