Li Yingzhen
Li Yingzhen (1431-1493) was an official and calligrapher in Ming Dynasty. At the beginning, it was named Shen, and its name was Yingzhen. It was also named Zhenbo and fanan. South Zhili Changzhou (now Suzhou, Jiangsu) people. In the fourth year of Jingtai period, he was elected to be a scholar of zhongshushe, and moved to the southern military department as a doctor. He became an official of Shaoqing, the imperial servant of Nanjing, and was known as Li Shaoqing. Ouyangxun, the author of the book, has a family of his own.
Personal profile
In 1453, Li Yingzhen took the provincial examination and entered the Imperial College. During the Chenghua period, he chose Shanshu as the middle script and gave orders to write Buddhist scriptures. Kangshu said that he only heard nine scriptures, but not Buddhist scriptures. In the early Hongzhi period, Shaoqing, a servant of the imperial family, was called Li Shaoqing. He was good at calligraphy and was good at regular script, line, grass and official script. The real book learned from Ouyang Xun and Yan Zhenqing, and was written by Cai Xiang. Later, he devoted himself to the study of the ancient method and changed it. His skill was extraordinary and he became his own family. He is erudite and good at ancient times, and has both seal and regular script. He is a true grass official, and he is also clean and elegant, just like a man. Although he devoted himself to the ancient law, he was more complacent and should be the first in the Ming Dynasty. Calligraphy features
Li Yingzhen learned from Ouyang Xun and Yan Zhenqing and got the skill of CAI Xiang. Tao Zongyi's "Book History meeting" said: "Shaoqing's books are pure and elegant, just like his personality." Seal script and regular script are all in the style, especially the three fingertips and the empty wrist. He is Zhu Yunming's father-in-law and Wen Zhengming's calligraphy teacher. At the age of 22, Wen Zhengming learned calligraphy from Li Yingzhen. In his later years, Li Yingzhen told him that he had learned calligraphy for 40 years before he got anything. He also discussed many principles of calligraphy to Wen Zhengming. Wen Zhengming commented on Ying Zhenyun: Gong Nan devotes himself to the ancient law, but he is complacent.
