Li Tianpei, born in Nanmen Street, Jiangcheng, Yangjiang, Guangdong Province, was a Jinshi of Wanli in Ming Dynasty. He was an official of Nanjing Work Department, and had a lot of achievements. After leaving his post, he returned to his hometown and was very charitable. He donated money to build Wenwen tower (in Huancheng Road, which has been demolished) and Dongluo tower.

In the fifth year of Shunzhi (1645), Li Tianpei was appointed as a teacher in Linzhang (now Linzhang, Shanxi). Extensive teaching, students praise. Just in time for the flood surge in Zhangzhou, tianpeihe county magistrate led the people to repair the dam and block the flood. Tianpei also suggested to the county magistrate that taxes should be levied according to the quality of land. Therefore, it is deeply trusted by Linzhang people. in the reign of Kangxi (1662-1722), Li Tianpei was appointed Xuezheng of Guozijian. Li Xiangbei, the prime minister, is a native of Yongcheng. They are both from the same hometown and the same clan. They have a close relationship and have no contact. After Tianpei retired and returned home, the prime minister kept asking questions. One night more than ten years later, Tianpei suddenly dreamed that Li Xiangguo had come and said to himself, "do you know? I'm the Duke of Zengfu in Xinzheng. " Tianpei didn't pay attention to the words in his dream because he had no evidence. The next night, I had the same dream as the night before. It was not long before I saw Di Bao and knew that Li Xiangguo had died. Once upon a time, there was Zengfu Xianggong temple in Ximen, which was dedicated to Li Guizu. Tianpei paid for the renovation and inscribed on the plaque: "Zengfu Li Xiang Gong Ci".
