Rhetorical attack is one of the basic language skills in debate. It is the application of rhetorical rhetorical question in debate. The so-called rhetorical question is to ask questions from the opposite side, using negative questions to express the positive mood, or using positive questions to express the positive mood. Rhetorical attack is often more powerful than positive questioning, more able to express love and hate, and more critical and ironic. Most of the time, you can also turn defensive into offensive with rhetorical questions, resulting in psychological advantages and aggressive momentum, and placing the other side in a passive position.
There are many specific forms of rhetorical attack, which are introduced from different angles.
(1) Affirmative rhetorical question
Affirmative rhetorical question is to affirm or emphasize one's own point of view in the form of rhetorical question.
At the final of the Asian College Students' debate, there was a passage in the speech of Zhengfang: "if the development of tourism has more disadvantages than advantages, why are many countries and regions, including China, Singapore, Hong Kong and Macao, developing tourism? Are so many leaders of these countries and regions stupid? " By way of rhetorical question, this passage affirms Zhengfang's view that the advantages of developing tourism outweigh the disadvantages.
(2) Negative rhetorical question
Negative rhetorical question is to use the form of rhetorical question to negate the other party's point of view.
During the "Cultural Revolution", some people tried to slander the hundred regiments war in the Anti Japanese war in order to criticize Peng Dehuai.
