Minxi Revolutionary History Museum

Founded in 1985, Minxi revolutionary history museum is a comprehensive museum of social history. It covers an area of about 20 mu and a construction area of 3500 square meters. The main building of the museum is a hall building with national style, which is magnificent, tall and spectacular. The ten exhibition halls in the museum are well arranged. Outside the hall, the lotus pool is rippled with clear water, and the flowers and plants are clustered together, making it elegant and quiet.

Development history

Under the proposal of Deng Zihui, Zhang Dingcheng, Tan Zhenlin, Yang Chengwu and other proletarian revolutionaries, the West Fujian revolutionary history museum started to be built in the late 1950s and early 1960s, officially started construction in 1986, and officially opened new year's day exhibition in 1989. It is the only comprehensive special museum in Longyan city that comprehensively and systematically displays the revolutionary history of West Fujian in the Central Soviet area. There are "Red West Fujian", "heroes of West Fujian", "celebrities of West Fujian red soil", "Central Soviet Area · Fujian" and other special exhibitions in the museum, focusing on the historical facts of the great revolutionary practice carried out by Mao Zedong, Zhu De and other proletarian revolutionaries of the older generation in West Fujian and the important position and historical contribution of West Fujian in the history of Chinese revolution. The exhibition features prominent theme, rich content and novel form. With the help of sound, light, electricity and other multimedia means, it widely uses pictures, light boxes, scenes, sculptures and other forms; introduces the interactive and experiential visit of the audience; skillfully uses the spatial characteristics to restore the historical scenes such as "Liao Kuo Jiangtian", "red Shanghai", "bloody battle of Xiangjiang"; greatly enhances the interest and participation of the exhibition And sex.

The administrative department is subordinate to the Municipal Bureau of culture, radio, television, press and publication, with a staff of 15. There are offices, cultural relics section, information section, security section, publicity and reception section, and Longyan cultural heritage protection office.

The museum is the National Youth patriotism education base, Fujian patriotism education base, and an important window for the spiritual civilization construction of the old areas in Western Fujian. It has won the honorary titles of "advanced collective of national cultural and museum system", "advanced unit of provincial patriotism education base" and so on. Minxi Revolutionary History Museum, founded in 1985, has a unit level equivalent to the deputy department level, with a staff of 15. It has four sections, namely, exhibition and publicity section, cultural relics section, information section, security section and office. It has 8 professional and technical personnel, including 2 associate research librarians, 5 cultural and Museum librarians and 1 assistant librarian. The West Fujian revolutionary history museum is open to the outside world with three special exhibitions, namely, the history of the people's revolutionary struggle in West Fujian, the sons and daughters of West Fujian fighting in the motherland, and the developing west Fujian. The exhibition line is 463 meters long, with rich and accurate contents, novel and generous display format, and distinct levels. By making full use of a large number of cultural relics, historical photos and materials, the exhibition reproduces the magnificent and indomitable struggle of the people of Western Fujian under the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the glorious history of "the red flag will not fall for 20 years"; eulogizes the aspirations of the people of Western Fujian to fight bloody battles in China for national independence and people's Liberation; and shows the people of Western Fujian in the new China Since the founding of the people's Republic of China, especially since the reform and opening up, we have made great achievements in economic construction, social development and other aspects, and have a brand-new spirit. Since its establishment, the museum has received more than 700000 visitors from home and abroad, including Wen Jiabao, Lu Jiaxi, Chen Pixian, Fang Yi, Wang Guangying, Peng Chong, Yang Chengwu, Xiao Ke, Ma Wenrui, Zhang Zhen, Cao Gangchuan and other important party and state leaders. It has established a co construction relationship with more than 10 universities and technical secondary schools such as Longyan Teachers College, Minxi Vocational University and Longyan Normal University, as well as Longyan armed police detachment. We often send professionals to the joint construction units to make special reports, and invite them to organize new students and soldiers to receive revolutionary tradition and patriotism education in the museum.

Over the past 20 years since its establishment, the West Fujian Revolutionary History Museum has received more than 3 million visitors from home and abroad. Party and state leaders such as Wen Jiabao, Li Changchun and Zeng Qinghong have visited the museum. They have been awarded the national secondary Museum, the national patriotic education demonstration base, the scientific research and teaching base of Jinggangshan Cadre College, and the practice teaching base of the national civil servant (Gutian) characteristic education base , provincial patriotism education demonstration base, provincial national defense education base, provincial social science popularization education base, and provincial Party history education base; it has been successively awarded the national advanced collective of cultural relics system, the best form design award of National Museum top ten fine exhibition, National Red Tourism top ten scenic spots, national 3A scenic spots, provincial civilized units, and provincial landscaping units.

The West Fujian revolutionary history museum is located in the north side of the North Ring Road of Longyan City and the north side of the monument to the revolutionary martyrs in West Fujian. It faces south. It has a three storey reinforced concrete structure and covers an area of 20 mu (about 5000 square meters). It was planned to be built in 1986 and officially opened in January 1989. There are three displays, including:

(1) Exhibition of people's revolutionary history in West Fujian

The exhibition, which is located on the first floor of the museum, scientifically and accurately reflects the historical facts of the successive heroic struggles of the people of Western Fujian against imperialism, bureaucratic capitalism and reactionaries in the new democratic revolution under the leadership of China. The exhibition line is 900 meters, divided into five parts, with 900 pictures and 800 cultural relics. At the end of the exhibition is an exhibition of 78 generals from Western Fujian.

(2) Brilliant 50 years -- Exhibition of achievements in construction of West Fujian

Located on the right side of the second floor, it shows the revolutionary practice and brilliant achievements of the people of Western Fujian in the period of socialist revolution and socialist construction under the leadership of China, especially since the reform and opening up. The exhibition line is 500 meters long, with 300 pictures and some cultural relics and objects on display.

(3) Minxi revolutionary martyrs memorial hall

Located on the left side of the second floor, 189 martyrs who died in the new democratic revolution in Western Fujian and cultural relics and objects related to some martyrs are displayed. The exhibition line is 600 meters and more than 200 pictures are displayed.

History of the people's revolution in West Fujian, children of West Fujian fighting in the motherland, cradle of the generals of the Republic The exhibition makes full use of a large number of cultural relics, historical photos and materials to reproduce the magnificent and indomitable struggle of the people of Western Fujian under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, as well as the glorious history of "the red flag will not fall for 20 years"; it eulogizes the aspirations of the people of Western Fujian for national independence and people's liberation. Many generals of the people's Republic of China had carried out great revolutionary practice in West Fujian, leaving brilliant achievements. At the same time, they hammered 68 founding generals from West Fujian and many other outstanding sons and daughters. Each exhibition in the museum is not only a separate topic, but also can be organically linked, showing the glorious history of the red earth in Western Fujian in the 20th century.

After the founding of new China, Liu Yalou was awarded the rank of general and served as commander of the air force.

The telescope Yang Chengwu used during the war of resistance against Japan when he was commanding the battle of Huangtuling. In this battle, 1500 Japanese soldiers were killed, including Japanese lieutenant general Guixiu Abe, who was known as "the flower of famous generals".

Longquan porcelain vase of Ming Dynasty is 16 cm high and 8.57 cm in diameter. It is well preserved.

In 1863, the script of Shuang Zhuangyuan was hand copied by Qing Rong Hao Lu Yu. It is one of the main scripts of Minxi Han Opera, which is of great significance to the study of Minxi Han Opera.

Exhibition

In the theme exhibition hall on the first floor, there are special exhibitions on "the history of the people's revolution in Western Fujian" and "the sons and daughters of Western Fujian fighting in the motherland", which fully show the glorious history of struggle in Western Fujian. In the exhibition hall on the second floor, combined with the actual situation of Longyan City and major holidays and anniversaries, many special exhibitions were held, such as the soul of red rock, large-scale popular science exhibition of manned spaceships, rockets, satellites and cutting-edge weapons, developing west Fujian, calligraphy and painting exhibition of revolutionary veteran comrades, Long March, starting from here, cradle of general of the Republic, etc. At the same time, the exhibition of "Red West Fujian" will be revised in the theme exhibition. Modern technical means such as simulating historical landscape, landing scenery, electronic display screen, sculpture and multimedia combined with sound, light and electricity will be used to set up the exhibition, so as to further play the due role of the provincial patriotic education base and red tourist attractions.
