It is a trinity of cave, platform and building, which has lasted for a long time. Baiyun cave, also known as Taiping cave. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zhang Jiao founded Taiping Taoism, and Taoists learned to recite Taiping Scriptures. Therefore, the beginning of its construction can be traced back to the Eastern Han Dynasty from the name of Taiping cave. According to the inscriptions, Baiyun Building was shaped in the Jiaqing period (1796-1820). There are three caves with arched roof. The front room is open. There is a "xieyue" cave on the north side of the middle room. The back room is dedicated to the statue of LV Dongbin. A niche is set on the west wall of the back room to carve the picture of green dragon sword, pine and crane. The "xieyue" cave is tortuous and quiet. On the top of the Baiyun cave, the regular script stone inscription "lying cloud" is carved, and the two sides of the word are embossed with dragons. On both sides of the entrance, four stone pillars are engraved with three-dimensional patterns of flowers, gods, trees, rare birds and animals.
History and culture
It is said that Lu Dongbin, a famous Taoist figure in the Tang Dynasty, once drove a white crane here to practice and eliminate harm for the people. Up to now, there are still stories of "Lv Dongbin subduing the Dragon according to the order" and "Lv Dongbin exploring the flying tiger cave three times". Since the Ming Dynasty, the Dragon bed (cold jade bed) where LV Dongbin stayed has been stored in the cave, where the statue of LV Dongbin was worshipped. Baiyun tower has experienced vicissitudes for hundreds of years. The only surviving buildings are Taiping cave, Sitai and Baiyun tower. Since 1995, the Baiyun building complex has been rebuilt, and some of the buildings have been restored.
There is a poem praising: "the white cloud tower and the white cloud are the same, and the cloud shadow is increasingly blurred in the West. Raise your hand to climb up the cold group, danghuai overlooking the low mountains. "
