Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, or "Hong Kong wax museum" for short, is located in Lingxiao Pavilion on the top of Taiping mountain in Hong Kong. History of wax museum
Since its opening in 2000, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum has been popular, attracting millions of tourists. On September 27, 2004, the wax figure of former Chinese President Hu Jintao, officially displayed in Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, was placed on a real scene arranged as an apron, as if just stepped out of the cabin by a special plane to meet you. Visitors can pass through the cabin door and stand beside the wax statue of Hu Jintao waving to receive the warm cheers of the masses and the competing photos of journalists.
Affected by the epidemic, entertainment places in Hong Kong will be temporarily closed from March 28, 2020. On May 8, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Hong Kong reopened.
Theme Pavilion
When the theme pavilion opened in 2000, it was divided into seven different themes, including "movie world", "sports star", "wax workshop", "celebrity party", "Hall of great men", "horror house" and "music supremacy". Due to the renovation of Lingxiao Pavilion in March 2005, the wax museum was closed for expansion on August 30, 2005. During the closing period, part of the wax statues were moved to the Hong Kong colorful winter festival in December for exhibition. Due to the excellent response, it has become one of the key activities of Hong Kong's colorful winter festival for many years.
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Hong Kong was closed for expansion on August 30, 2005. The new museum was reopened in March 2006.
