Commander Ma Dayuan's Mansion
Located in the south section of Fuxing Road in Dali City, it covers an area of 21510 square meters. It was originally the governor's office of Yunnan Province and was built in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. In the sixth year of Xianfeng (1856) of Qing Dynasty, the people's anti Qing uprising army led by Du Wenxiu of all ethnic groups in western Yunnan, with Hui as the main body, captured Dali. On September 17, it established power, and on September 25, it built an altar in nanxiaochang. The leaders of the uprising army elected Du Wenxiu as the Grand Marshal of the presidential army. It was changed into a marshal's mansion, with two main courtyards, the front hall and the back hall, the Meridian Gate, the emperor's platform, the Li Dan long, the side hall and the North-South flower hall. There are conference hall, military aircraft Office (white tiger Hall), living room, study room, guard room, storage room and other buildings, making it a large-scale building community. Du Wenxiu also wrote couplets hanging in the main hall: "born heroes turn the world of the central plains; heroes from the earth pierce the heaven and earth of hu'er". There are high walls and battlements around the mansion, all of which are built with bricks and stones. The architectural style is similar to the Imperial City, so it is commonly known as the "Forbidden City".
Introduction to scenic spots
In 1872, after the failure of the uprising, most of the buildings were demolished. In the 10th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, it was built again and was still the governor's office in Yunnan. In the Republic of China, it served as the headquarters of Tengchong Dali division, Chuxiong Dali division and Dianxi division. In 1987, according to historical records, the assembly hall, the white tiger hall, the forbidden gate, the main gate, the study and the south wall of the Forbidden City were gradually restored according to the pattern of the Marshal's mansion. The layout of the whole building was rigorous and well arranged. In 1987, Dali City Museum was set up in Shuaifu. The exhibition hall covers an area of 1404 square meters. Now there are more than 2800 cultural relics, mainly including local stone tools, pottery, bronze, porcelain, jade, various stone carvings, jade carvings, wood carvings, calligraphy and paintings. In 1990, when some of the collections of Dali Museum were exhibited in Switzerland and Japan, they were highly praised by the international heritage community.
