Dharmacakra
Falun temple was originally the zasak family temple of the king's residence in Kalaqin Middle Banner. It is located in the West courtyard of the government of Dachengzi Town, Ningcheng County, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It was originally the flag Temple of the Mongolian princes of the Kalaqin tribe of the descendants of the yuan minister jirama. It is one of the ten famous temples of Huangjiao in Qing Dynasty.
On May 3, 2013, the State Council announced it as the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Architecture in the temple
Falun temple covers an area of 22000 square meters, with 14 main buildings and 8 auxiliary buildings. At the front of Falun temple is a 30 meter long and 20 meter wide platform with flagpoles erected on both sides. The platform is followed by the temple of heavenly kings, which is built on a square stone platform with a single eaves hanging on the mountain and three bays, and houses four statues of heavenly kings. In the east of the Tianwang hall, there are three shrines with single eaves and hard mountain style. There are bell and drum towers with double eaves on the East and west sides behind the heavenly king's hall. The foundation of the tower is a square rain stone platform with a height of 2 meters. In the north of the heavenly king's hall is Zhan Chan temple, which is built on a rectangular platform with double eaves and mountain rest style. There are eight King Kong statues in it. Behind the temple is the main building of Falun temple, which is 31 meters long, 23.7 meters wide and 20 meters high. It has three eaves and Xieshan structure. There are seven doors in the front, and the middle door is larger, with the top of the door. All around the column, column set arch and beam Fang. The base of the column has a rectangular stone platform one meter high and a circular cornerstone carved with patterns. On the side of the door, there are rolling lotus drum shaped stone piers with exquisite carving style. Eaves rafters, Bai Fang, cylindrical painted, Wang ban, bucket between painted. Above the platform, there are corridors around the temple. The main Buddha in the temple is Sakyamuni. There is a four eaves octagonal tower behind the Falun temple, which is called the baling Sutra library and the voucher gate. In addition to the Scriptures, there are six words of "Amitabha Buddha in the South". After the baling temple is the Luohan hall. Built on a square platform, it is a double-layer Pavilion style, with 5 coupons in front of each floor for the Buddha. In 1948, the army was stationed and burned because of Kang burning. Later, there is the Raba temple, with its cornices and ridges, which is the residence of the great Lama. In the back and on both sides, there are 8 single eaves buildings on hard mountain, which are Lama's residence. There are walls around the buildings of Falun temple. There are several ancient pines in the courtyard, and several Lama's residence outside the courtyard. The statue of Buddha in the temple has been destroyed.
Layout of historical buildings
Behind the Falun temple is Wulong mountain, and on the hillside there is an ancient temple with three levels of courtyard. The main temple, the Great Buddha Temple, and the Falun temple are built on the same axis. The front courtyard is the heavenly king hall, with three bays and flagpoles on both sides. The latter two sections each have four Bay rolling shed roof buildings, which are Lama houses. Another East-West horizontal wall leads to the central courtyard. The front building of the middle courtyard is a three Bay Guandi temple with double eaves and wings. Inside it is a gilded Guanyu statue. There are four Bay rolling shed roofed lamas in the back two chambers of Guandi temple. In the north, there is another horizontal wall, in which there is a door leading to the pavilion style, and under the cornice there are arches and pavilions. Fang wood, covered with dome. The first floor is equipped with doors, and the upper two floors have windows but no doors. Inside, there is a giant Buddha more than 10 meters high. The East and the west of the temple each have a roll shed type monk house. At the back of the temple, there are Buddhist halls on both sides, and Sutra halls on the east side, all of which are suspended mountain style three bays. In 1948, all the buildings of the Great Buddha Temple were destroyed by fire.
There are two Puzhao temples and one monk's house in the east of Dafo temple. Theater in front, double eaves, the upper is the dark, Guandi temple on both sides of the monk house building. Further to the west, there is a white tower more than 10 meters high, which contains scriptures and was demolished during the cultural revolution.
The architecture of Falun temple is Han style. At first, the great Lamas were sent by Tibet. There were more than 500 lamas at most in the temples. In 1947, with the land reform, most lamas returned to the secular life, and most temples and monasteries were destroyed.
During the cultural revolution, the Falun temple was preserved because of the use of grain stations. With the implementation of religious policies, the grain stations moved out and the temples returned to the management of monks.
Collection in the temple
There are more than ten Buddhist relics from India and 342 Buddhist scriptures in Falun temple.
Abbot
The famous founder of Falun temple is Dan BA Qiba. The current Abbot Chen Defu, 71 years old, is from Hebei Province. He is also a director of Chifeng Buddhist Association in Inner Mongolia and a member of Ningcheng CPPCC.
