Shacheng port
Shacheng Town, also known as shaguan, is located in the southeast coast of Fuding City. It is one of the important fishing ports in Fujian Province and one of the natural ports in Southeast China. It is 45 kilometers away from Fuding City. It borders Qianqi town in the north, Cangnan County in Zhejiang Province in the Northeast, Dianxia town in the southwest and Donghai town in the southeast.
Shacheng port
Shacheng port is located in the northeast of Fujian Province, with mountains on its back and sea. The mountain is called "Qilin mountain", which is said to have been transformed by ancient Qilin in order to guard the sea. Shacheng is close to Cangnan County, Zhejiang Province and adjacent to Lingxi town. Shacheng is an important coastal military town in Fujian Province in Ming Dynasty. There is Nanguan mountain outside the harbor. Lianhua island in the harbor floats alone. The sea surface is like a lotus, and the water depth is flat. Large ships are berthed in it. The gate of anjutang aojinyu stands in the middle of the river, and the two mountains are like a gate. The situation on both sides of the Strait is very dangerous. During the Anti Japanese War, the Chinese army fought back against the Japanese aggressors who landed here. There are few existing air raid shelters. Under the jurisdiction of Shacheng port, Nanzhen, Liujiang and other villages are natural harbors for typhoon, where passing Taiwan ships often take shelter. After leaving the port, Shacheng had many islands, such as "Qixing island", "Yushan island" and so on.
history
Zhang Huangyan (cangshui), a hero of anti Qing Dynasty in the late Ming Dynasty, arrived at Shacheng harbor three times. In 1906, Shacheng port was opened. Shacheng harbor is 40 km long and 2 km wide. It is a famous natural harbor with no reef in water depth, no siltation for a long time, no waves and stable waterway. In his early years, Dr. Sun Yat Sen listed it as one of the three major fishing ports in his industrial plan. It is 142 nautical miles away from Keelung port in Taiwan, with a total area of 39 square kilometers. The sea area is 10 times the land area. The provincial highway Sha (Cheng) Lu (Xia) goes directly to the urban area and connects with Fuding section of national highway 104. The entry and exit of 10000 ton giant ships are not restricted by tides. Because Shacheng port is wide, deep and sheltered by mountains, the wind force inside and outside the port is 4 degrees different in typhoon season, and it can avoid typhoon of 12 degrees or more. It is a good natural shelter for fishing boats, passenger and cargo ships. Shacheng town is located in the center of the harbor, with prosperous economic and trade activities. It is the largest fishing area market town and main fishery production area in Fuding. Offshore Taishan fishing ground is rich in resources. It is one of the main fishing grounds in East Fujian, rich in yellow croaker, hairtail, eel, cuttlefish, shrimp, swimming crab, etc. From 1992 to 1995, Shacheng town was approved by Fujian Province as a trade point with Taiwan, a labor export point with Taiwan, and a berthing point for Taiwan ships, which made Shacheng an important port for import and export trade activities with Taiwan in the coastal area of East Fujian and for labor export in the near ocean.
typhoon
Liao Tiansheng, mayor of Shacheng Town, said that before the typhoon, there were more than 10000 offshore fishing boats in Shacheng port to take shelter from the wind. However, many fishermen still stay in the fishing boats that enter the harbor to take shelter from the wind. Many fishermen here are used to keeping away from the wind on board. When Sangmei landed, the wind reached level 17, which was beyond many people's expectation. As a result, thousands of fishing boats sank and damaged, and many people died or disappeared.
In an interview with Xinhua news agency at noon on August 13, 2006, the mayor of Shacheng town said that there were more than 10000 ships sheltering from the wind in Shacheng harbor, which is owned by Shacheng town. More than 1000 ships were damaged, and more crew members and fishermen were killed and missing. As of 22:00 on August 13, 2006, 97 bodies have been found in the shipwreck of Shacheng port, of which 27 are from other places and cannot be identified.
The provincial flood control and drought relief headquarters said that starting from the morning of August 12, 2006, a large-scale maritime search and rescue was carried out in the sea area of Shacheng port, and people along the coast were organized to assist in observation, requiring that once there were search and rescue objects, they should immediately report to the local government. Since August 14, 2006, the Navy stationed in Fujian has sent four ships to actively cooperate with Fuding municipal government to participate in the search and rescue work. According to the statistics at 22:00 on August 14, 2006, 148 bodies have been found in the sea area of Shacheng port, including 57 from Fuding, 22 from Xiapu and 69 from other places. However, at noon on August 14, 2006, Xinhua news agency said: at the same deadline, the number of victims in Fuding City rose to 178, of which 155 were salvaged ashore, and 94 were missing. It claimed that "this is the latest information released by Fuding municipal government". The number of victims at sea in this manuscript is slightly different from that of China News Agency in the morning. The manuscript also quoted Fuding City as an example Cai Meisen, vice mayor of Dingshi city and commander of flood control and Drought Relief Headquarters, said that 59 bodies were recovered in the sea area of shachenggang on August 14, 2006 alone.
Some media in Hong Kong and the United States reported that the number of deaths in Shacheng port was far higher than the official figures. Mainland netizens left many accusation posts in some major forums, such as Baidu's "typhoon bar", "Sangmei bar" or other discussion areas. According to Hong Kong's "sun" on August 14, 2006, Fuding municipal government official, who did not want to be named, disclosed yesterday (August 13, 2006) that the death toll had exceeded 200. According to relevant reports, many netizens pointed out that nearly 1000 fishing boats had been sunk in Shacheng Town, and more than 500 bodies had been fished out. The death toll should have reached more than 1000 long ago, which is in line with the death toll announced by Xinhua news agency There is a big gap in the number of missing persons, and the official speed of updating the number has slowed down. It is pointed out that some officials collude with the government to conceal the truth, and the local media dare not tell the truth, so that the local disaster situation is not paid attention to.
Netizens pointed out that Shacheng harbor had gathered fishing boats from eight nearby towns to take shelter before the storm landed. Since the day after the storm landed, bodies have surfaced on the little egret beach. Those who can be claimed can only be salvaged ashore. Those who can't be claimed can only be tied to the beach or buried nearby. The bodies with stinky hair have not been disposed of, and local officials have been accused of bringing them for inspection On August 15, 2006, the sun quoted officials from the flood control command center as saying that there was no such thing, and pointed out that the Secretary of the provincial Party committee used bread to satisfy his hunger at the scene of disaster relief.
It should be noted that in a special manuscript about the disaster area in Sha Cheng port, Fuding, on the morning of August 15, 2006, Xinhua news agency said: "according to the spontaneous statistics of the relatives of the victims, the number of the victims is estimated to be about 1000 conservatively", but it has not been widely quoted.
As of 20:00 on August 21, 2006, Fuding municipal government said that the death toll had risen to 219, among which 190 were salvaged at sea (including 76 from Fuding, 114 from other counties and unidentified), 28 were killed on land, 72 were missing, and 94 bodies were still unclaimed.
As of 12:00 on August 17, 2006, the death toll of Ningde Civil Affairs Bureau is 227 (128 people have been identified as the city's identity, 99 people can not be identified), and 157 people are missing due to the disaster. It should be noted that the same draft also said that according to Fuding City under the jurisdiction of Ningde City, as of 22:00 on August 16, 2006, the number of maritime casualties in Fuding City was 208, of which 180 were salvaged ashore.
