Quecheng
Quecheng, the name of ancient Chinese city. According to Zhang De Fu Zhi written by Jiajing of Ming Dynasty, after King Wen of Zhou was imprisoned, his son king Wu of Zhou missed his father very much and didn't think about food and tea. However, he was well aware of King Zhou's fatuity and cruelty, and had no other good plan. He built a high platform with a radius of 200 steps and a height of 2 Zhang in the northeast of kuali city. At that time, there happened to be a red bird flying here, so it was called Quecheng.
Quecheng site is located in zunguitun village, Gaozhuang Town, Wenfeng District, Anyang City, Henan Province. In the south, it is a stone bridge on the river, in the northwest, it is Jiangtai, and in the East, it is guangrunpi. The existing base of the city wall and the gate of the Tang Dynasty.
Historical evolution
During the period of King Zhou of Shang Dynasty, King Wen of Zhou was imprisoned in kuali. King Wu of Zhou built a platform here and looked at it. When the red sparrow came to see it, it was named sparrow city.
In the Northern Song Dynasty, Quecheng was under the control of Wang Liu (Wangliu village, Gaozhuang Town, Wenfeng District, Anyang City), Tangyin County, Xiangzhou (now Anyang City).
Yuan Dynasty, still known as Quecheng, belongs to Zhangde Road (now Anyang City) Tangyin county.
In the early Ming Dynasty, Quecheng was renamed zunguitun, one of the 42 Li administrative units in Tangyin County of Zhangde prefecture (now Anyang City).
In Qing Dynasty, zungui Tunli was still Tangyin County of Zhangde Prefecture.
During the period of the Republic of China, zunguitun village belonged to the Second District of Tangyin County, Hebei Road (later changed to Yubei Road).
In May 1949, after the liberation of Anyang, zunguitun village was assigned to Ye County (located in the east of Anyang and south of Zhanghe River in Linzhang in 1947), belonging to the Sixth District of Ye County (located in Wadian) in Anyang special district of plain province.
In September 1954, Ye County was merged into Anyang County, and zunguitun was subordinate to the 16th district of Anyang County (zhuwadian), Anyang District, Henan Province.
In 1955, zunguitun township was set up in the same district, belonging to Wadian District of Anyang County.

On the name
Quecheng is an ancient city in Shang and Zhou dynasties. Quecheng was first found in the book of Heshuo's visit to ancient times written by Naxin of Yuan Dynasty. It is recorded that Quecheng is 35 Li northeast of Tangyin county. It is 100 steps back in the Zhou Dynasty and 2 Zhang high. The local people call it Quecheng. According to the legend, King Wen was imprisoned in kuali. King Wu built this city to look at it. There was a red sparrow, which was named Yun. It can be seen that Quecheng is located 35 Li northeast of Tangyin county. It has been handed down from generation to generation that King Wen of Zhou was imprisoned in Quli City, and King Wu of Zhou built a city here to meet each other. At that time, a red sparrow flew in, so the city was named Quecheng.
During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, the location of Quecheng was recorded in the Kaixin society of Tangyin County in Zhangde Fu Zhi written by Cui MI. Kaixin society, now Kaixin village, Gaozhuang Town, Wenfeng District, Anyang City, belonged to Tangyin County before the Republic of China. In today's Kaixin village, there is no ancient city site, while zunguitun village, located in the southeast of the village, has an ancient city site, only beichengmen remains. Zunguitun village may belong to Kaixin society in the early Ming Dynasty, so that the Qing Dynasty "Zhangde Fu Zhi" followed the Ming Zhi, all recorded Quecheng located in Kaixin society.
The village name of Song dynasty recorded in Jiajing's Zhangde Fu Zhi shows that there is Quecheng village in Tangyin County, which is under the management of Wang and Liu. Wang Liuguan is now Wangliu village, Gaozhuang Town, Wenfeng District, Anyang City. In the Northern Song Dynasty, the seventeen villages under the jurisdiction of Wang and Liu, Quecheng village, zungui village, Kaixin village and so on, were all under their jurisdiction. Compared with the villages in Ming Dynasty, most of them existed, but Quecheng village disappeared. Kaixinshe and zunguitun in Tangyin county annals written by Chongzhen of Ming Dynasty were all established at Li level (township level), and there were also kaixincun, zunguicun and other villages. Among the nearby villages, only zunguitun has an ancient city. It can be seen that Quecheng village had evolved into zungui village in Ming Dynasty. Quecheng, which was newly researched by literati in Yuan Dynasty, experienced the war in the end of Yuan Dynasty and had few original residences left. In the early Ming Dynasty, people moved here and changed its name to zunguitun. In the Ming Dynasty, she was the original resident, Tun was the newly moved, she and Tun were the same level organizations, which governed the villages. The name of zunguitun village is still used today.
According to Xu Anyang county annals of the Republic of China, the epitaph of Fu He, wife Li of Longxi, the king of Taiyuan in the Tang Dynasty, said: "in the ninth year of Tang Dazhong, they were buried together in liangguli, Wangyun Township, 20 miles northwest of Yaocheng.". According to the epitaph, the ancient city of zunguitun is regarded as ancient Yao City, which is contrary to the historical materials and facts. According to the records of Yuanhe County in the Tang Dynasty and many ancient books, the ancient Yao City was 40 Li to the east of the Zhou City, and it was found in the southwest of yancuntai village, Yonghe Town, Anyang County. Zungui village is located 30 Li southeast of the state, which is inconsistent with historical records. If you look at the epitaph of the Tang Dynasty, Liang Guli, which is now Lianggu village, Baibi Town, Wenfeng District, Anyang City, is just 20 Li north by west of Yaocheng (Yonghe Town, yancuntai Village), rather than 20 Li West by north of zunguitun ancient city. According to the records of Heshuo's visit to ancient times in the Yuan Dynasty, zunguitun was also 35 Li northeast of Tangyin County, which is completely in line with the historical records. Zhangde Fu Zhi of Ming Dynasty records that Quecheng was located in Kaixin society of Tangyin County, which further shows that zunguitun ancient city of Kaixin society was Quecheng in Shang and Zhou dynasties.
According to Xu zuomin, a member of Anyang place name expert group, former deputy director of Anyang County Culture Bureau and director of Anyang County place name office, the ancient and modern place names of Anyang City are indeed Quecheng sites.
