Located at the south foot of Gushan Mountain and the center of West Lake scenic spot, it is a courtyard building with local characteristics of Jiangnan garden, which is divided into six major museum areas. The main hall is the basic exhibition hall, and the branches include celadon hall, painting and calligraphy hall, craft hall, coin hall and international gift hall. More than 100000 pieces of cultural relics have been collected, reflecting the civilization history of Zhejiang Province from Hemudu culture to modern times.
This museum is an old one of Zhejiang Provincial Museum. Its facilities are a little old. Many things have been moved to the new one (Wulin Museum), but some things worth seeing are still kept. The most important thing is that after visiting the museum, you can also visit Gushan.
