Shanghai Children's Museum

The children's museum is composed of Space Museum, navigation museum, Toy Museum, exhibition hall, ball screen movie hall and multi-function hall.

The space museum and the navigation museum show the past, present and future of space and navigation technology by means of objects, models, pictures, videos, multimedia, etc.; the toy museum shows all kinds of toys at all times and in all over the world, and children can make them by themselves in the manual studio; the universal cinema shows 180 degree ball screen movies every day.

Shanghai Children's Museum

Shanghai Children's museum was approved by Shanghai Planning Committee in 1990. On May 29, 1991, a foundation laying ceremony was held on the 10th anniversary of Soong Ching Ling's death. It was completed in May 1995 and opened on May 29, 1996.

It is located in the southeast of Soong Ching Ling cemetery and was officially opened to the public on May 29, 1996. The museum is composed of Space Museum, navigation museum, Toy Museum, exhibition hall, ball screen movie hall and multi-function hall.

Ticket information

1. Group visit (more than 20 people) with a letter of introduction from the unit or school.

2. Group visit must be registered in advance and come to the museum at the confirmed time.

The space museum is pyramid shaped in appearance and decorated with glass curtain wall. The interior is divided into three layers. The first layer is "climbing ladder", which is mainly used to show all kinds of rockets at home and abroad. In one corner of the exhibition hall is a set of simulation demonstration system for launching long March 2 from Xichang Satellite Launch Center, which is the most advanced in China. It is connected by dynamic model and computer multimedia animation, which is especially immersive. In addition, there are also scaled down rocket groups from all over the world, and Long March 4 rocket engine cabin exhibits. The second layer of "stars strive for brilliance" focuses on the display of satellites and other spacecraft, so that young people can increase their knowledge of space and experience the risks and mysteries of space. Among them are the space robots that can speak and draw well, the "doctor" of space science and technology full of experience, and the wonderful astronaut trainer, as well as some spacecraft models of modern advanced countries and the real-time receiving and demonstration system of meteorological satellites, demonstrating the achievements of human beings in conquering the space field. The third layer, "space exploration", mainly displays lunar rover, interstellar communication station and other space treasures. The space museum's characteristics of "high, fine and sharp" are in sharp contrast with the toy museum of "small, clever and smart".

The exhibition room of the toy museum is divided into three parts: ancient, modern and handmade. In the ancient exhibition room, from the stone balls and pottery balls unearthed from the oldest Yangshao culture to the Diabolo treasures of Beijing Hutong children in the 1920s-1930s; in the modern exhibition room, several large-scale activity booths display various modern toys; in the central exhibition stand, cars are running at high speed and the subway is speeding, showing the international urban scene. The translucent toy shows the inner structure of the handmade toy. In the manual workshop, children can make models by themselves.

This is a "children's Museum 100 why" multimedia touch device (designed as a lovely spiral). This device is composed of four units. In these four touch systems, there are not only corresponding introductions to the exhibition areas in the children's Museum, but also 100 questions and answers about aviation, navigation, aerospace, information, astronomy, etc.

The children who come here can choose one or more questions they are interested in to click. After each click, the corresponding answer to this question will be conveyed to the children in the form of video cartoon image and sound. Each question and answer is a process of playing cartoon short films.

Navigation Hall

There are Shanghai city standard, sand boat model, the earliest tool of Shanghai shipping, and pictures and models showing the navigation process from ancient times to the present. They are divided into seven parts: Ocean, ancient navigation, modern navigation, modern navigation, future navigation, remote control simulation, navigation and ocean world, which enhance children's knowledge and interest in navigation. All kinds of thrilling and realistic short films are shown on the hemispherical screen of the ball screen cinema.

1. Submarine

Large scale simulation submarine device is for children's direct participation, so that they can actively learn in observation and real contact. The external shape of the device is imitated by the real submarine, and its internal structure is built according to the basic structure of the real submarine. The inside of the submarine can accommodate 5 to 6 children of different ages to visit. The simulation hull is equipped with some demonstration equipment and interactive multimedia devices for children to experience and participate in. Children can see, hear and learn navigation knowledge through these demonstration equipment; they can experience the fun of navigation through these interactive devices, so that they can have a deeper understanding of navigation, especially the mysterious submarine knowledge. Parents and teachers can watch the children's situation inside the submarine through the glass window of the submarine model, so that they can have a timely understanding of the children's visit and safety situation.

2. Lighthouse lighting interactive Ship Model Exhibition

All kinds of ship models representing the 5000 year history of China's navigation are placed in an arc-shaped glass cabinet, and ten representative ships are selected and placed in the children's close sight, so that they can carefully observe the ship models they think are interested in. On the opposite side of the arc-shaped glass curtain cabinet, there is a lighthouse with top height. This light will continuously hit some ship models set by the program, and the projection screen on one side of the glass cabinet will tell the story of the ship accordingly.

For example, when the light sweeps the Zhongshan warship, the projection screen will tell them the story of the Zhongshan warship in a way acceptable to the children. The stories of boats, lighthouses and video screens are wonderfully connected.

1. Rocket launch simulation demonstration

The most distinctive feature of the space museum is the rocket launch simulation demonstration. Xichang Satellite Launch Center, one of China's three major satellite launch bases, has been scaled down and moved here. It can simulate the whole process from satellite hoisting, personnel evacuation to rocket launch and lift off, revealing the mystery of satellite launch for everyone.

2. Magic cube wall

"Wall" is composed of six large square boards, each board has three groups of different patterns, which are vivid and vivid in all aspects of aerospace. Each pattern is divided into nine squares, each of which is a three sided cube that can be flipped, and each of which is a part of a pattern on this large drawing board. The picture is composed by children themselves, which is like a jigsaw puzzle. When the children turn the nine grid pattern into a completely correct picture, there will be lights flashing and sound effects on the whole drawing board, indicating success. After spelling this picture, children can continue to spell the other two pictures of this board, or then challenge another board. This simple and interesting game can not only exercise their operation ability, but also improve their cognitive ability of science popularization. This Rubik's cube wall is suitable for children of different ages.

Moon Hall

Walking into the moon area, people seem to really stand on the bright white moon and can see the vast space. There will also be space documentaries on the moon. There are also models of Apollo 11 and some lunar landers.

The moon ground interactive device is a game suitable for children of three different ages. Many people can play at the same time. There is a question on the wall and a voice reads it out. In the three interaction areas, each interaction area has an alternative image, and children can use their body position to choose the right answer in a limited period of time.

After a few seconds, there will be a strong spotlight on the children standing in the right choice area, and a voice of encouragement will appear. The content of this game is suitable for children of three age groups, 3 to 6 years old, 7 to 10 years old and 11 to 14 years old. Children or parents can use the program control button to choose.

There is also a particularly attractive exhibit in the lunar region, which is a realistic image of the rotating three-dimensional earth. The exhibition aims to give children an overview of the earth on which they live.
