Shanghai Minhang park is located at 249 humin Road, adjacent to Hengjing port in the East, humin road in the west, Minhang middle school in the north and Shanghai honorary military sanatorium in the south. The park covers an area of 60800 square meters, with 39 employees and 238200 annual visitors.

Minhang park is adjacent to Hengjing port in the East, humin road in the west, Minhang middle school and Shanghai honorary military sanatorium in the north and south, covering an area of 60600 square meters.

There are trellis corridor, large-scale rockery bonsai, monkey mountain, lotus pool, mushroom Pavilion, rockery, etc. in the park, the space is separated by tall trees, four seasons flowers and trees, and high and low hedges. An activity area is built in the west of the park, and earth mountain, dense forest, lawn, flower path, stream and fish pond are set in the east of the park. There are 3300 square meters of regular flower beds in the northeast of the garden, in which various roses are planted. There is a monkey hall in the east of the park. You can watch the monkey activities on the monkey mountain from the platform on the second floor. In the activity area of the park, there are children's amusement facilities such as bumper cars, small trains, electric cars, ocean balls, rocking horses, horse drawn cars, elevated planes, racing cars, etc. It is one of the first parks free of charge in Shanghai. It won the titles of Shanghai Shuangyou Park and Shanghai "seven no" Civilization Park.

Historical evolution

In 1980, with the approval of the municipal capital construction committee, the overall planning and greening design of the design office of the municipal landscape management bureau, and the Construction organized by the Minhang District landscape management office. The project started in October 1985, completed in September 1988 and opened on October 1 of the same year.

During the construction of the park, the leaders of Shanghai municipal Party committee and government led cadres to participate in tree planting work in the park. Comrade Jiang Zemin inscribed the name of the park.

Landscape introduction

There are trellis corridor, fountain, large-scale rockery bonsai, monkey mountain, lotus pool, mushroom Pavilion, rockery, etc. in the park, the space is separated by tall trees, four seasons flowers and trees, and high and low hedges.

In the west of the park, there is a youth activity area, and in the East, there are earth mountains, dense forests, lawns, flower paths, streams and fish ponds. Located in the northeast of the park, the arc-shaped green corridor is 34 meters long and 3.9 meters wide. The reinforced concrete corridor is coiled on the sky, and the grinding stone bench and floor are under the corridor. On the east side of the corridor, a circular cement platform 0.4 meters above the ground is built, covering an area of 227 square meters. On the platform, there is a round landscape bonsai with an area of 12.56 square meters. The base of the bonsai is 0.9 meters high, and the height of the stone rockery is about 3 meters. The South and north sides of the platform are built with leaky low brick walls, and the west side is an arc pool.

In the northeast of the garden, there is a regular flower bed group with a total area of 3300 square meters. In the center of the flower bed group, there is a round pool with an area of about 70 square meters and a depth of 2 meters. The bottom and all sides of the pool are covered with mosaics. There are 10 sprinklers in the pool, and two stone statues of girls stand in the center. In the east of the pool, there is a 2-meter-high and 150 meter long mound on which grass and trees are planted.

There is a monkey hall in the east of the park, which is a two-story ring building with reinforced concrete structure. The monkey mountain in the center of the ring covers an area of 415 square meters. The ground floor is a monkey house. You can watch the monkey activities on the monkey mountain by climbing on the platform on the second floor. There is a rectangular pool with an area of 350 square meters in the west of Houguan, in which water lilies are planted. A three curved flat bridge of reinforced concrete structure is erected on the pool, 12 meters long and 1.2 meters wide, with iron railings on both sides. In addition to flower beds, there are palm, osmanthus, plum, cherry, Magnolia, Magnolia grandiflora, camellia, citrus, bamboo, pomegranate, juniper, Metasequoia glyptostroboides, ginkgo and other trees. In the west of the garden, the terrain is wide, with tall trees as the main part. Cinnamomum camphora, Magnolia grandiflora, Cupressus Longbai, Pinus thunbergii, etc. are planted. Camellia, Huangxin, cherry blossom, Begonia and other flowering shrubs are also planted. In the middle of the garden, Lagerstroemia indica, Podocarpus, Michelia, palm, Magnolia and other trees are planted. A large lawn was planted around the rose bed in the north of the garden. In order to make the mound green all the year round, we should lay grass on the mound, plant bamboo and Podocarpus arvensis, and interplant with Sophora japonica and maple. The lawn area is 25000 square meters, and the flower bed area is about 1000 square meters. There are 99 species and 13500 trees in the park,

The ratio of arbor to shrub was 1 ∶ 5.22, and that of evergreen to deciduous was 1 ∶ 0.27.

In the youth activity area, there are bumper cars, small trains, electric cars, ocean balls, rocking horses, horse drawn cars, overhead planes, racing cars, etc. There are tea rooms and sales department in the park.

Traffic situation

In front of Minhang park is humin highway, so the traffic is very convenient. Minhang Xujiahui (xumin, 816, 958) and Songjiang Minhang (Songmin line); if you take the subway, you can go to Xinzhuang station to transfer to rail transit line 5, and get off Dongchuan Road Station (you need to walk one station left and right) and the cars in Minhang District (such as minma and minwu) Minhang Fengxian District (Nanmin) Waiting for the bus.
