Xuelang mountain is the first place to grow tea in Wuxi, and also the first place where Jiang Chongzhen, the number one scholar in Wuxi, studied. Zhu Yuanzhang, Zhu Jianwen, Kangxi, Qianlong and Chiang Kai Shek all visited Xuelang mountain for sightseeing. Now it has become an ecological garden for farmers, which can ride and shoot, taste tea, pick, fish, climb the mountain and barbecue.
Xuelang Mountain Ecological Landscape Park
Xuelang mountain ecological landscape park is located in Wuxi Shanshui City tourist resort, adjacent to Taihu Lake in the South and Meiliang Lake in the west, covering an area of 5000 mu. In 2006, it was rated as a national 3A tourist attraction. It is composed of ecological landscape and historical and cultural landscape. It is a scenic spot integrating tourism, leisure, vacation, fitness and teaching.
From the date of resumption of the park to December 31, 2020, free admission policy will be implemented for medical workers, spouses and children.
Xuelang mountain ecological landscape park is located in the continuous mountains of Taihu town in Wuxi. It is known as "the first peak of Taihu Lake" among the 72 peaks of Taihu Lake. The whole park is surrounded by mountains and rivers with beautiful scenery, integrating ecological protection, agricultural production, sightseeing and leisure, holiday fitness and popular science education. With an area of 233 km, the park is composed of agricultural ecological landscape area and historical and cultural landscape area, ten scenic spots and dozens of scenic spots.
The ecological landscape area is composed of Xiangyang Linguo, Langshan Yinghu, Xuelang gongcha, Xuelang Guanfeng and other scenic spots; the historical and cultural landscape area is composed of Royal teahouse, Jiangzi academy, Zhuangyuan Road, Xianren cave, Dongshan temple, Rushu temple and Hengshan temple. Baishou Pavilion, Wanfu Pavilion, hanyue Pavilion, Wanzhu Pavilion, beacon tower, as well as many stone inscriptions, cliff inscriptions and tablet inscriptions make people forget to return.
Jiang Chongzhen, the first number one scholar in Wuxi's history, studied in Tan Yun Pavilion of Xuelang nunnery when he was young, and taught in his former residence at the foot of the mountain, so he called the Academy of Song Dynasty Jiangzi Academy. The imperial examination cultural center and tea cultural center on display in the academy are unique to Xicheng. Mr. Chiang Kai Shek and Ms. Song Meiling have been to Xuelang mountain three times to visit Jiangzi pavilion to remember their ancestor Jiang Chongzhen. In the heyday of Kangxi and Qianlong dynasties, Xuelang mountain tea was regarded as tribute tea, which was the same tribute as bade Longtan water. Emperor Qianlong once left the praise of "green color without turbidity, fragrance without pungent, strong taste without dry throat, small shape without floating surface". The Royal teahouse on the top of the mountain is a landmark building. You can see the surging Taihu Lake and linli lake. Hengshan temple in Donglu is an ancient temple in Song Dynasty. It is a famous religious site with grand scale and prosperous incense. In spring, tourists climb the mountains, watch flowers and pick tea, enjoy tea in summer, enjoy chrysanthemums and oranges in autumn, and walk on snow and plum in winter.
