Bogong Island Ecological Park

This is the largest artificial island in Wuxi City. Standing on the island, you have the illusion of being on the island. The water quality here is very good. It is as clear as a glass. You can clearly see the algae at the bottom of the water. Quite artistic is the Bogong heritage Gallery, which runs through the scaffolding between Bogong islands near the lake. Built by 13 kinds of vines, it is the longest corridor of vines in China.

Bogong Island Ecological Park

Bogong island ecological park is located in the water surface adjacent to Yuantouzhu park on the south side of Dasheng bridge on Huanhu road. It is built on the east side of the original Dushan dam in combination with the project of returning fishing to lake. Facing guansheshan in the West and Oulu island in the East, it is 1700 meters long from north to South and covers an area of about 37 hectares. Bogong island ecological park is a collection of water conservancy projects, natural scenery and cultural landscape. It is named in memory of Zhang Bo, a water control sage. It is one of the theme parks of the 36 km tour belt around Lihu lake. The pavilion, platform, building, hall, pavilion and pavilion in the park are all named after the legend of Zhang Bo's water control. Meiliang Lake pumping station is a multi-directional water diversion project of Taihu Lake, Lihu lake and Liangxi River, and a unique water conservancy project in Wuxi park.

Introduction to scenic spots

In the park, there are more than 300 kinds of trees, such as zhongshanshan fir, Magnolia grandiflora, Ginkgo biloba, Cinnamomum camphora and Cedrus deodarum, forming a green colorful brocade with alternate seasonal colors. There are more than 80 kinds of aquatic plants in the nearshore lake, which constitute a new landscape of natural ecology in the water.
