"Xiaojiang ancestral hall" is a ancestral hall built by Jiangwan zhankeng clan, the birthplace of Xiaojiang clan. It is the largest ancestral hall in Wuyuan and even in Jiangnan.
It not only has a large scale (covering an area of 2400 square meters), magnificent architecture and fine carving, but also has rich humanities and a long history. It is "the first ancestral temple in the south of the Yangtze River".
Xiaojiang ancestral hall
Xiaojiang ancestral hall, also known as Yongsi ancestral hall, was built in the sixth year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty, and later destroyed by the war of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. It was rebuilt in 1924 and demolished during the cultural revolution.

Xiaojiang ancestral hall was once known as the "best ancestral hall" among the 70 famous ancestral halls in the south of the Yangtze River. It is the first of the four ancient buildings in Wuyuan. In September 2003, it was rebuilt for the third time. Xiaojiang ancestral hall is rare because of its large scale, wide area, exquisite carving and exquisite building materials.
