Development history

It is said that a long time ago, a couple of foot fish living in Poyang Lake were dissatisfied with people's disdain and Prejudice and determined to create a miracle: they left this secular place and went to the Milky way to live freely. In their eyes, the sky was not high. They were on the top of Meiling mountain. As long as they climbed the top of Meiling mountain, they would surely go to heaven. So the foot fish couple led their children and grandchildren to go against the water and live happily At night, after many difficulties and obstacles, I finally came to the waterfall of shenlongtan. It's both amazing and joyful to see the waterfall connecting clouds and sky. Isn't this the water of the Milky way? Don't you climb up to the sky? So they scrambled up the waterfall, or jumped, or piled up. But because the waterfall was too high to go up, the foot fish didn't get discouraged. They camped here, waiting for the mountain torrents to break out. Waiting for a thousand years, the foot fish family's unswerving spirit finally moved God.

One day, a dragon came down to earth. For a moment, there was a strong wind and a torrential rain in the dragon pond. A tornado swept away the water in the dragon pond and the foot fish. The foot fish finally went to heaven and realized their ideal.

For this reason, the foot fish of Poyang Lake and other rivers and lakes swarmed into Shenlong lake, hoping to become immortals. For a time, Shenlong lake was full of foot fish and became a foot fish pool.

According to the local villagers, Shenlong lake used to be very deep. Four or two silk threads couldn't reach the end. There were a lot of foot fish. The big ones weighed more than 50 Jin. In the 1970s, they were blocked by rocks due to the construction of a winding mountain road. Foot fish were rarely caught and killed indiscriminately.

Shenlongtan "three treasure trees"

Wang Wei of the Tang Dynasty said: "red beans are born in the south of China. They come here in spring. I hope you can pick more of them. They are most Acacia.". The red bean in the poem is the fruit of yew, so it is also called acacia tree, friendship tree and love tree.

It is said that yew was planted by Zhang Jiuling, a minister and poet of the Tang Dynasty. In the 18th year of Tang Kaiyuan, Zhang Jiuling visited his relatives from his hometown of Guangdong and returned to Korea. After passing Nanchang, he visited Shenlong lake and was warmly received by the mountain people. He was not only intoxicated by the beautiful scenery of Shenlong lake, a paradise of heaven and man, but also moved by the simplicity and friendliness of the mountain people. When he left, he would give Hongdou, a kind of material object to the emperor of Tang Ming, and take out six seeds to plant beside the village to show his everlasting friendship Under the careful care of the mountain people, six Taxus plants grow into towering trees, with three males and three females, like three loving couples. The female trees bloom in late autumn every year, and their seeds are as big as beans and red in color. They mature in that year.

Taxus has been living for more than 1300 years, with an average height of 26 meters, DBH of 0.6 meters, chest circumference of 1.88 meters and crown width of 50 square meters. At the end of the 1960s, three pairs of Taxus were listed as national first-class protected rare plants, which were rare treasures in the eyes of villagers, so they were called "three treasure trees".

It is a national first-class protected plant, recognized as an endangered natural rare Anticancer Plant in the world, with a history of 2.5 million years on earth. Because Taxol (Taxol Pacli Taxol) has a unique anti-cancer mechanism, the stock of wild Taxus in China is very small and is on the verge of extinction, which has great scientific research value and medicinal value.
