Da Kong ancestral hall
Da Kong ancestral hall is a ancestral hall built by Kong Huaqing for his hometown people. It is also a relatively complete group of public ancestral hall buildings in the late Qing Dynasty. It has a history of more than 100 years. In the early 1980s, the ancestral hall was named as a municipal cultural relic protection unit by Hefei municipal government, and was named as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in 2004.
Basic information
The whole ancestral hall faces south and is of brick and wood structure. The wood used is thick and thick, which makes it simple and generous. There are more than 60 houses in the ancestral hall. The structure is a typical ancient building of the Qing Dynasty, with blue bricks, red walls, tubular tiles, carved beams and painted buildings, and pure Soviet style oil painting. Its architectural layout is characterized by a symmetrical courtyard with distinct primary and secondary, which is divided into gatehouse, library, ancestral hall and wing rooms on both sides. The library is a wooden structure, about 30 meters high, with three rooms on the upper and lower floors. Its shape is similar to the Dacheng Hall of the Confucius Temple in Qufu, Shandong Province. The ancestral hall is a rare building with rich northern flavor in Hefei, which contains rich historical, artistic, scientific and commemorative values.
Unfortunately, due to the long history and war damage, the temple was used as a storeroom, a grain station and an office. Finally, even the library, the landmark of the ancestral hall, collapsed. Since the end of 2006, the Hefei municipal government has invested more than 2 million yuan to thoroughly repair the remaining 700 square meters of the ancestral hall, and gradually restore the East-West hall, the East veranda hall, the Xiliao room of the Shanmen hall, as well as the walls and courtyard greening of the whole ancestral hall. After a year's restoration, the long lost ancestral hall of Confucius has finally reappeared in front of people. This ancestral hall of Confucius, located in Xuetang village, Dawu Township, Baohe District, is the only ancestral temple with relatively complete preservation, the largest area and the highest specification in Hefei. In addition, it is also the one with the highest painting specification and grade among the existing ancient buildings in Hefei. Based on the construction of "Anhui Confucius Mansion", carry forward Confucius culture. The completion of the temple will greatly enhance the cultural connotation of rural tourism in Dawu, enrich the tourism content and improve the tourism image.
legend
It is said that when the Kong family moved from Shandong and Henan to guluzhou Prefecture, the population was prosperous. At that time, one was divided into three parts, Dafang stayed in Xuetang village, Erfang moved to Feixi, and Sanfang separated in lujiaba, Feidong. Because the Confucius ancestral hall in Xuetang village belongs to the main hall, it is called "Da Kong ancestral hall". In the late Qing Dynasty, due to the collapse of the old ancestral hall, Kong fanqin, a tiger fighting hero, appeared in the clan, so the ancestral hall was rebuilt. Then Kong Huaqing, who was an official in Gansu Province, sent a special person to send money and things, and wrote to Kong Lingyi, the "leader" of the Confucius Temple in Shandong Province at that time, asking to build the ancestral hall according to the architectural layout of the "Confucius Temple in Shandong Province". In this sense, it can be said that the great Confucius Temple and the Confucius Temple in Qufu belong to the same clan.
