The former site of the Red Army's Zunyi garrison headquarters is located in the middle of Yangliu street, the old city of Zunyi, opposite to the exhibition hall in the Zunyi Conference site. It was originally the residence of Zhou Jishan, deputy commander of the Guizhou army of the Kuomintang.
On January 7, 1935, the sixth regiment of the second division of the first corps of the central red army occupied Zunyi City. The Central Revolutionary Military Commission decided to set up the Zunyi garrison headquarters with Liu Bocheng, chief of the general staff of the Red Army, as its commander and Chen Yun, a political member of the Military Commission column (composed of the first field column and the second field column of the Military Commission at the initial stage of the breakout). Zunyi garrison headquarters is located in the private residence of Zhou Jishan, deputy division commander of Qianjun army, Yangliu street, the old city of Zunyi. In January 1940, Zhejiang University moved to the west, and established the College of science and the College of agriculture in Meitan. The College of Arts, including the Department of history and geography, was in Zunyi. Its former site was the headquarters of the guard area at the Zunyi Meeting, which was less than 100 meters away from the Zunyi Meeting site. In May 1946, Zhejiang University returned to the West and left the Red Army garrison headquarters.

In November 2004, Zunyi municipal government appropriated special funds, together with the construction fund of 500000 yuan donated by China Development Bank to the relocation project of Zunyi Red Army garrison headquarters, the former site of Zunyi Red Army garrison headquarters was repaired in other places. The restored residence is located in the east facing west, with one floor and one floor. It covers an area of 863 square meters and a building area of 743 square meters. The interior is displayed in its original state. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Zunyi Conference, that is, in January 2005, it was officially opened to the outside world. In the room, there are also iron briefcases. At the back of Liu Bocheng's and Chen Yun's rooms, that is, the two rooms to the East, are the rooms for security personnel. There are beds paved with door panels and straw. Enamel teapots are placed on the rectangular tables in front of the windows. On the walls are fitted hats, straw sandals, pistols and dry grain bags. There are back chairs in the corner. On the small tea table are glass covered kerosene lamps and enamel teapots.

On the night of Chen Yun and Liu Bocheng's stay, they presided over a forum of Zunyi celebrities. The directors of Zunyi post and Telecommunications Bureau, the president of the chamber of Commerce and some officers who were not successful in the Kuomintang army were invited to the forum. At the meeting, Liu Bocheng told them about the situation at home and abroad, publicized the principles and policies of the Communist Party of China and the Red Army, so that the celebrities broadened their political horizons, greatly eliminated their ideological doubts, had a more correct understanding of the Communist Party and the Red Army, and reflected many important information they knew, such as the deployment of the Kuomintang army, weapons and equipment, combat quality, and the quality of the officers in charge Name and personality; manpower, economy and transportation of some important areas.
