This ancient Roman style building is located in a very humble alley, which is not easy to find, but it is one of the largest buildings in the original concession. It is also the only foreign barracks preserved among the nine garrison barracks in Tianjin, and the only completely preserved building of this kind in China. It is said that when Puyi was in Tianjin, he also visited the barracks and left a picture to be seen in the exhibition room of Jingyuan.
The barracks, built in 1925, has a wide playground and two tall three story buildings with sloping roofs at right angles. In front of each building, there are corridors more than 10 meters wide. The building is grand in momentum and unique in style. It is well preserved up to now, but it also shows a sense of strangeness. It must be complicated for tourists to stop here. Photography with a wide angle lens is better.
