World tea culture museum

The world tea culture museum is located in mengdingshan, Mingshan County, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province, covering an area of 2000 square meters and more than 3000 square meters. It is divided into seven functional areas, including central area, scene exhibition area, reception area, exhibition area and sales area. The name of the museum was inscribed by Zhang Xuezhong, former Secretary of Sichuan provincial Party committee.

The museum displays the origin, development, evolution, cultivation and production technology of Mengding tea as well as the tea culture reflected in it, and comprehensively displays the features of the birthplace of world tea culture, the birthplace of world tea culture and the holy mountain of world tea culture in Mengding Mountain.

The museum has three functions of collection, research and publicity. It is another cultural landscape of Mengding Mountain tea culture tourism, and provides a good place for Chinese and foreign tea merchants, tea people, tea culture experts and scholars as well as tourists to visit, exchange and discuss tea culture.

It also has a VIP Hall and a multi-functional activity hall which can hold 1300 people.

It is the leisure place for tourists to watch tea performance and taste the world famous tea Tieguanyin. It is also the best place to have a close look at the beautiful scenery of Lanxi and the scenery of tea town.

Chinese tea history Hall

The exhibition hall with the theme of introducing the origin, spread, development and function of China's tea is a miniature of the history of China's tea culture, from which we can appreciate the broad and profound of China's tea culture and the history of tea development and tea export.

China Oolong Tea Exhibition Hall

This paper comprehensively and systematically introduces the origin, spread and development of Chinese oolong tea, especially the mythical origin legends of the four famous tea in Anxi, such as Tieguanyin, huangjingui, Benshan and hairy crab, showing the wisdom of the people in the ancient tea Town, reflecting the unique charm of Oolong tea, and appreciating the customs of the tea town.

China tea variety Hall

More than 200 varieties of green tea, black tea, green tea, yellow tea, white tea and black tea, as well as various deeply processed tea products, are collected. Just like the Grand View Garden of Chinese tea, you can enjoy all kinds of tea varieties in the world at home.

In 2000, the people's daily photography department, market daily, China Tea Circulation Association and Anxi County People's Government jointly organized the exhibition hall with the theme of excellent works selected by the national "Tieguanyin" cup photography competition. It reflects the scenery of tea garden, tea art culture, colorful tea sets, teahouse customs, ancient and modern tea industry, and long tea rhyme. It is a brand-new form of promoting Chinese tea culture with fine photography.

Four characteristics

Development history

Mengding Mountain is the birthplace of world tea culture and the holy mountain of Chinese tea culture. According to records, more than 2000 years ago in the Western Han Dynasty, Wu Lizhen planted seven tea trees in Mengding Mountain, creating a precedent in the world of artificial tea planting. Mengding Mountain is listed in the history of Confucian classics because of the trace of water control by Xiayu. It has long been famous for Mengding immortal tea, which was paid tribute in the Tang Dynasty. "Water in the middle of Yangtze River, tea on Mengding Mountain" is widely praised among the people. Mengding Mountain scenic spot is one of the first batch of scenic spots in Sichuan Province and a national AAA level tourist area. It has been known as the three famous mountains in Sichuan along with Qingcheng Mountain and Emei Mountain since ancient times.

Experts believe that, as the birthplace of world tea culture and the planting center of Chinese tea, if a world-class tea museum can be built in Mengding Mountain scenic spot, it will better display and promote the connotation of "Mengding, the world of tea fragrance" for a thousand years.

Experts believe that the construction of the world tea culture museum in Mengding Mountain has unique conditions. Bashu is the cradle of tea culture and has created many firsts related to tea. Mengding Mountain has a 1600 mu tea garden protected by the origin, which will be the basis for the construction of the world tea culture museum.

From March to May 2005, the world tea culture museum entered into the architectural and interior decoration design. From May to August 2005, the project was constructed and opened on August 29, 2005.

Peripheral highlights

On both sides of the corridor in front of the museum, there are sculptures of the Mengding tea technique, the eighteen dragon walking style. It is said that the eighteen forms of dragon walk were created by Zen Hui, a eminent monk in the Northern Song Dynasty, when he was practicing in Jielu, Mengshan. It was originally a course of monks' practice. Later, it was introduced into the folk. It integrates traditional tea ceremony, martial arts, dance, Zen and Yi Li. It is vigorous and elegant. It is a unique feature of tea ceremony culture at all times and in all over the world.

Opposite the museum, there is a "world's first pot". The diameter of the teapot is 10 meters, the handle is 13 meters, the spout is 3 meters long, and the height is 9.8 meters. The diameter of its supporting tea bowl is 4 meters, and the drop of water overflowing from the teapot is 50 meters, which is known as "the largest teapot in the world".
