Yangzhou Museum

Yangzhou China engraving and Printing Museum and new Yangzhou Museum (hereinafter referred to as "double Museum") are located in the west of Yangzhou new city. It is located in the west of the artificial lake with charming natural scenery, facing Yangzhou International Exhibition Center across the lake. The architectural appearance of the museum fully embodies the design concept of harmony between man and nature, and the integration of architecture and nature. The Building Museum covers a total area of 50730m2, with a building area of 22146.99m2 and an exhibition area of 10000m2. The predecessor of the museum is Yangzhou Museum. The history of Yangzhou museum can be traced back to the "cultural relics museum" of Yangzhou established in 1951 and the "Northern Jiangsu Museum" planned to be built in the same year. After more than 50 years of development, Yangzhou Museum has formed a collection structure with rich collections, complete categories and distinctive local characteristics, especially famous for the cultural relics of the Han and Ming and Qing Dynasties. At present, there are more than 30000 cultural relics in the collection, which can be divided into 18 categories according to the quality, mainly including ceramics, jade, metal, calligraphy and painting, lacquerware, bamboo and wood, bone and horn teeth, epitaphs and inscriptions, stone and brick carvings and other cultural relics. There are more than 50 pieces of first-class products, more than 300 pieces of second-class products and more than 1000 pieces of third-class products. In August 2003, with the approval of the State Council, Yangzhou China Woodblock Printing Museum was established in Yangzhou, which combined the 300000 ancient books and plates collected by Yangzhou Guangling publishing house with Yangzhou museum to become "Yangzhou double Museum". Yangzhou double Museum started construction in October 2003, and successfully completed the "fireworks march international economic and Trade Tourism Festival" on April 18, 2005. As a landmark building in the cultural field of a famous cultural city, the double Museum embodies the urban development idea of Yangzhou municipal government to build a cultural city and a humanistic harmonious society, and it is also an important milestone in the development of museum cause in our city. Free admission or preferential services are available for the following people: (1) you can visit our museum free of charge with your leave card, Garden card and senior citizen's special treatment card. ② The group visit organized by the school is free of charge for primary and secondary school students; the individual visit of students should be accompanied by their parents, free of charge for students and half of the tickets for parents. ③ Soldiers and their wives are free to visit. ④ Disabled persons can visit the site free of charge with their own disability certificate. Yangzhou Museum

Yangzhou Museum, located in Wenchang West Road, Hanjiang District, Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province, is a national AAAA tourist attraction, which is composed of Yangzhou China engraving and Printing Museum and Yangzhou Museum.

Yangzhou double Museum covers a total area of 50000 square meters, with a construction area of 25000 square meters, exhibition area of 10000 square meters, cultural relics warehouse area of 5000 square meters, office area of 3000 square meters and public service area of 7000 square meters. There are guanglingchao Yangzhou City Story hall, Yangzhou Eight strange painting and calligraphy hall, collection of Ming and Qing painting and calligraphy hall, national treasure hall, Yangzhou ancient sculpture hall, Chinese engraving printing exhibition hall, Yangzhou engraving printing exhibition hall and a temporary exhibition hall, including eight exhibition halls.

Yangzhou double museum is positioned as the largest cultural relics collection center, cultural and academic research center, citizens' cultural and leisure center, and youth cultural and patriotic education base in Yangzhou. After opening, Yangzhou double Museum has become a landmark building of Yangzhou cultural construction and one of the most important windows to display Yangzhou traditional culture and modern civilization.

Historical evolution

In the second half of 1951, the northern Jiangsu administrative office built Yangzhou cultural relics museum in Shigong temple;

In 1953, it was renamed Yangzhou Museum in Jiangsu Province;

In 1954, Yangzhou Museum of Jiangsu Province was abolished;

In 1957, the Preparatory Office of Yangzhou museum was re established;

In May 1958, Yangzhou museum was established;

Since 1966, due to the cultural revolution, the work of Yangzhou Museum has been in a semi stagnant state;

In 1969, the cultural and Museum group under the Mao Zedong thought propaganda hall was established;

In June 1973, Yangzhou Museum resumed normal work;

In October 1987, Yangzhou Museum moved to Tianning Temple;

In August 2003, the State Council approved the establishment of Yangzhou China Woodblock Printing Museum;

On October 18, 2003, the project of Yangzhou double Museum officially started;

On April 15, 2004, the main project was capped;

On April 18, 2005, the civil engineering was completed;

On October 9, 2005, Yangzhou Shuangbo exhibition project was completed and opened to the public free of charge.

Venue composition

Guangling tide

For the general history exhibition, its theme is outstanding, the design is unique and creative, the information dissemination is clear, the display language is accurate, and the space processing is meaningful and logical. It explores a new idea for the basic display style of Chinese local museums.

National treasure hall

The exhibition area is 184 square meters, and only one exhibit is on display in the exhibition hall, namely Yuanji blue glazed plum vase with white dragon pattern. The plum vase belongs to the large-scale utensil in the blue glazed porcelain of Jingdezhen kiln in the Yuan Dynasty. It has beautiful shape, bright and pure blue glaze color, white dragon around the body of the vase. It has strong artistic appeal and reflects the highest firing level of Jingdezhen kiln in the Yuan Dynasty. There are only three pieces of this kind of plum vase handed down from generation to generation. One is an old collection of the palace, the existing Summer Palace, and the other is a collection of the gimme Museum in Paris, France. Both bottles are damaged, but this one is the largest in size and the most exquisite in decoration in our museum. In 1992, it was rated as a national treasure by the national heritage appraisal committee.

Painting and calligraphy Hall

The exhibition covers an area of 717.2 square meters, including two exhibitions: Yangzhou Eight strange painting and calligraphy exhibition and collection of Ming and Qing painting and calligraphy exhibition, with 66 cultural relics on display. Most of the selected exhibits in the Ming and Qing Dynasties calligraphy and painting exhibitions are works of calligraphers and painters who are closely related to Yangzhou, and they are good at both of them.

Temporary exhibition hall

With an area of 1065.3 square meters, it can be opened to the outside world independently. Since its opening, the museum has been holding various temporary exhibitions, either from outside or from inside. It has successively held such exhibitions as "Yangzhou cultural relics collection exhibition", "Fengming Qishan - Zhou Yuan bronze and jade exhibition of the Western Zhou Dynasty", "Shenzhou 5" and "Shenzhou 6" large space exhibition "and" brilliant Ming and Qing porcelain exhibition ".

Exhibition hall of ancient sculpture

The exhibition area is 526 square meters with 135 cultural relics. The cultural relics on display in this exhibition are divided into nine categories: jade carving, stone carving, brick carving, lacquer carving, bone carving, ivory carving, bamboo carving, porcelain carving, nuclear carving and wood carving, which respectively interpret the splendid ancient Chinese carving art.

From February 26, 2007 to March 20, 2007, Kunming Museum held "Yunling nishang Yunnan ethnic minority costume Exhibition" in Yangzhou Museum.

From September 23, 2008 to December 31, 2008, Yangzhou Shuangbo Museum held the "Grand Canal's brilliance -- Yangzhou collection ceramics exhibition".

November 22, 2011 -- Yangzhou Museum held "Fengming Qishan Zhouyuan bronze and jade exhibition".

Yangzhou double museum is located as the cultural relics collection center, cultural and academic research center, citizens' cultural and leisure center, youth cultural and patriotic education base of the largest Yangzhou Museum in Yangzhou area. Museums are institutions that protect, collect and display cultural relics. They use cultural relics to convey all kinds of historical information to people. They are not for profit. Yangzhou double Museum has become a landmark of Yangzhou cultural construction and one of the most important windows to display Yangzhou traditional culture and modern civilization.

Since its official opening to the outside world in October 2005, the number of visitors has exceeded 800000. The government, the army, schools, communities, enterprises, institutions and social organizations received more than 1000 batches, including more than 20 batches of important leaders at or above the central and provincial levels, such as Jia Qinglin, Li Lanqing, Tang Jiaxuan, Gu Xiulian, He Luli and Anna, Deputy Secretary General of the United nations.
