Qiao Guanhua (1913-1983), a famous diplomat at home and abroad, was originally from dongqiaozhuang, Jianhu County, Jiangsu Province. His father, Qiao Zhongfu, inherited his ancestral heritage, was good at poetry, music, chess, calligraphy and painting, and was strict in teaching his son. Qiao Guanhua entered a private school at the age of 5 and began to read poetry. At the age of 16, he was admitted to the Philosophy Department of Tsinghua University and was the youngest student of the same class. During his stay in Tsinghua University, Qiao Guanhua began to contact with Marxist works, actively participated in the progressive activities led by our underground party, and was one of the representatives of left-wing students. After the founding of new China, Qiao Guanhua successively held the posts of director of the International Information Bureau of the people's Republic of China, deputy director of the Policy Research Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Zhou Enlai concurrently director), director of the Asia Department of the Ministry of foreign affairs, Vice Minister of foreign affairs, minister, etc. Qiao Guanhua's life has made an important contribution to China's diplomatic cause. On the wall is a brief introduction of Qiao Guanhua's life and a historical picture of Qiao Guanhua's participation in the revolution for nearly half a century. Some of Qiao Guanhua's relics, works, living and office supplies are also displayed in the room. On the West Pavilion, Qiao Guanhua came back from his study. On the pavilion, there is a single wooden bed with a bamboo heart, two ends on the bench, and a small cabinet beside the bed, all of which are placed as they are.

Qiao's former residence has been repaired by the people of Qingfeng town for many times, and a number of pictures have been added, forming the ability of opening to the outside world, and receiving more than 10000 visitors every year. In order to meet the growing demand of tourism, Qiao Guanhua's former residence, which is now being expanded, covers an area of 3.3 hectares. A museum of Qiao Guanhua's historical materials will be built to supplement historical materials. Qiao's tomb will be moved back from Suzhou and a number of scenic spots will be added to make Qiao Guanhua's former residence a new tourist attraction.
Qiao Guanhua's tomb is located on the East hillside of tengwan Lake Village in Dongshan, Suzhou. A 5-meter-square tomb base is built on the hillside. It is made of common purple sand stone. The base is paved with colorful Taihu Lake pebbles. Osmanthus fragrans, Sabina orientalis and Euonymus japonicus are planted on both sides in turn. Behind the base is a row of tasong, and in front of the tasong are two cedar trees. There is a dark marble lying stele in the center, engraved with Huang Miaozi's official script "the tomb of Comrade Qiao Guanhua (1913-1983)". In the lower part of the stele, there is also a poem by Wen Tianxiang, Qiao Guanhua's favorite poem: "who has never died since ancient times? Let's take the heart to reflect history.".
As an outstanding diplomatic talent and leader of new China, Qiao Guanhua's former residence is not only a tourist attraction developed by relying on strong human resources, but also a tourist resort for spreading red patriotic culture.
In 2002, Zhang Hanzhi built a large sculpture for Qiao Guanhua in Fushouyuan, Shanghai. It was written by Qian Shaowu, a professor and master of sculpture at the Central Academy of fine arts. The sculpture is based on the famous "laughing" photo of minister Qiao Guanhua at the United Nations Conference, which won the Pulitzer Prize for news in the United States. The sculpture has attracted countless visitors to Fushouyuan.

Life of the characters
Qiao Guanhua (1913-1983), a native of Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, studied in Germany in his early years and obtained his PhD. During the Anti Japanese War, he was mainly engaged in journalism and writing international reviews. Introduced by Liao Chengzhi and others, he joined the Communist Party of China in 1939; in the autumn of 1942, he went to Chongqing Xinhua daily to host the international column until the victory of the Anti Japanese war. At the beginning of 1946, Zhou Enlai went to Shanghai with him to participate in the work of the CPC delegation. At the end of the same year, he went to Hong Kong to serve as the president of the Hong Kong Branch of Xinhua news agency. Since the founding of the people's Republic of China, he has successively served as deputy director of the foreign policy committee of the Ministry of foreign affairs, Assistant Minister of foreign affairs, Vice Minister of foreign affairs, Minister of foreign affairs, etc. After 1976, he served as a consultant to the Chinese people's Association for friendship with foreign countries.
Qiao Guanhua played an important role in the diplomatic activities of new China. He participated in the Korean Armistice negotiations in Panmunjom, attended the Geneva conference, and drafted the Sino US joint communique. In November 1971, Qiao Guanhua led a Chinese delegation to the conference hall of the United Nations for the first time, formally participated in the 26th session of the general assembly and delivered a speech at the conference, marking China's legitimate seat in the United Nations The recovery of the disease.
