architectural composition
The building complex where the museum is located imitates the architectural features of "Beijing siheyuan". A bird's-eye view of the whole building is "rich".
The museum is located from west to East, with the central axis as the main body. It is symmetrically arranged on the left and right sides. Three groups of courtyards are arranged on the left, the middle and the right side in turn. Each group of courtyards is arranged in a three-way quadrangle. A gate is set up in the northeast "gen" position. The main building behind the central courtyard is tall, which is the main building of the complex and is located in the "Dui" position. According to the "eight trigrams", it belongs to "duizhu" and "genmen". It is rich in the philosophy of yin and Yang of "five elements theory".
There are three basic exhibitions:
1、 The exhibition of Yuan's family shows 184 pictures and the living utensils of Yuan's family, mainly to increase visitors' understanding of Yuan's family. Among them, the "21 treaties" signed by Yuan Shikai and the "83 day emperor's dream" carried out patriotic education for the vast number of young people, suggesting that development is the absolute principle, and lagging behind means being beaten.
2、 More than 230 photos of scientific and technological achievements are displayed in the exhibition of yuan jialiu and Wu Jianxiong's scientific and technological achievements, which introduces in detail the scientific and technological careers of the two World Physics masters and their spouses for half a century. Among them, Wu Jianxiong, known as "Madame Curie of China", "Queen of nuclear physics of the world" and "first lady of physical science", participated in the Manhattan Project of the United States, manufactured the first atomic bomb of mankind, overturned the law of "conservation of parity", and caused a sensation in the World Physics circle with "non conservation of parity" of weak interaction. He has more than 200 achievements in physics experiments in his life, and has won all the physics science awards except the Nobel Prize. Their contribution to human physical science has stimulated the enthusiasm of young people to learn science, love science and aspire to scientific career.
The exhibition of fine pictures of unearthed cultural relics in Xiangcheng has produced 12 publicity boards, which have been on display in front of the gate of the museum all the year round, revealing the thousands of years of civilization history of Xiangcheng and enhancing the sense of responsibility of the general public to protect cultural relics.
Collection
There are more than 1300 pieces in the collection, mainly including stone, pottery, jade, bone, bronze, porcelain, calligraphy and painting.
