Weishan Lake, also known as Nansi Lake, is composed of Weishan Lake, Zhaoyang lake, Dushan lake and Nanyang Lake. The largest water surface is about 1266 square kilometers. It is the largest freshwater lake in northern China! In a narrow sense, Weishan Lake refers to the lower Lake in the south of the dam which was built in 1960. It forms a generalized Weishan Lake with Zhaoyang lake, Dushan lake and Nanyang Lake. Weishan Lake is located at 116 degrees 34-117 degrees 21 minutes east longitude and 34 degrees 27-35 degrees 20 minutes north latitude, like a long and narrow jade belt, inlaid at the junction of Jiangsu and Shandong provinces, under the jurisdiction of Weishan County, Jining City, Shandong Province. Weishan Lake was formed 400 million years ago, and the whole North China area declined to shallow sea and lake marsh. In the past seven million years, a large area of depression has been formed due to strong crustal movement. The water accumulation in Shanxi in the middle * Shandong Province formed the waterlogged area. (despite Zoucheng City annals) created a price for the birth of Weishan Lake. Another important reason is that the Yellow River is the mother river of Weishan Lake, which was formed in Wanli period of Ming Dynasty. Weishan Lake is inlaid in Guangbo North China Plain. It connects Xuzhou, a famous city in Northern Jiangsu in the south, Qufu and Zoucheng, the hometown of Confucius and Mencius in the north, Zaozhuang, a coal city in the East, and Peixian, the hometown of Liu Bang, the ancestor of the Han Dynasty, in the West.
