Jiaozuo Museum

Jiaozuo museum was founded in April 1965. In July of the same year, Mr. Guo Moruo inscribed the name of Jiaozuo Museum. The original site is located in Jiaozuo people's Park, covering an area of 2275 square meters, and the exhibition room is only 403 square meters. The museum consists of display department, social education department, storage department, office, security department, cultural market management office and other departments. At present, there are 4 senior professional titles and 10 intermediate professional titles.

Development history

Jiaozuo museum was founded on January 8, 1965. Mr. Guo Moruo wrote the name of the museum himself. In 1996, the new museum was completed. The new museum of Jiaozuo City is located in Jianshe middle road of Jiaozuo City, covering an area of 24300 square meters, with a construction area of 10500 square meters and an exhibition hall area of 5000 square meters. It is composed of main exhibition building, auxiliary exhibition building, cultural relics storehouse and technical room. In line with the leading idea of "Museum landscaping", since moving to the new site, Jiaozuo Museum has raised funds in many ways: gradually completed the greening and beautification of the museum area in stages and steps. Today, the green area of the museum area reaches 2000 square meters, and dozens of valuable plants and trees are planted. It not only provides a pleasant place for visitors, but also becomes a new scenic spot for holiday sightseeing and cultural entertainment.

After 40 years of trials and tribulations, we are looking for the remains of Shanyang culture. Jiaozuo museum now has a collection of more than 10000 pieces, from ancient times to modern times, including bronze, ceramics, jade, coins, calligraphy and painting, stone, wood, miscellaneous and many other types. Among them, the magnificent pottery storehouse of Han Dynasty, Dangyangyu hanging porcelain pot and "Shanyang" inscription pottery pot have become the representative cultural relics of Jiaozuo area.

Since its establishment, Jiaozuo City Museum has become one of the main cultural activity centers in Jiaozuo City, and has received the attention and support of leaders at all levels, experts in cultural and Museum circles and all walks of life. They either came to the museum to investigate and study the collection, or expressed their feelings with a splash of ink, leaving a precious gift full of friendship for Jiaozuo Museum.

On April 5, 2005, Jiaozuo Municipal Bureau of cultural relics, Jiaozuo Municipal Museum, Jiaozuo Municipal Cultural Relics team and Jiaozuo TV station jointly organized the special program "zero distance". Communication: for the sake of ancient civilization, the film was recorded in the hall on the first floor of the main exhibition building of the Municipal Museum. Representatives from all walks of life in the city and staff of municipal cultural and Expo units participated in the recording of the program. Yang Baoqun, director of the Municipal Bureau of cultural relics, Guo Jianshe, director of the Municipal Museum, and Hao Qingquan, leader of the municipal cultural relics working team, gave detailed answers to the questions concerning the laws and regulations on cultural relics, identification of cultural relics, market management of cultural relics, drilling of cultural relics, excavation fees, and development prospects of the museum.

In April 2005, Jiaozuo Museum took part in the Silk Road heritage exhibition held by the State Administration of cultural relics and China cultural relics exchange center as important exhibits.

On April 29, 2005, Mao Chaofeng, deputy secretary and mayor of Jiaozuo Municipal Party committee, accompanied the relevant leading comrades of Henan provincial Party committee to inspect the work of Jiaozuo Museum. Mayor Mao Chaofeng carefully inspected the exhibition hall and the storeroom, inquired about the safety, fire protection, duty, exhibition and other exhibitions in detail, and watched the "treasure in huaichuan - Jiaozuo cultural relics exhibition".

On May 10, 2005, accompanied by Gong Suqing, deputy director of Jiaozuo Municipal People's Congress, Wang, director of the education, science, culture and Health Commission of Henan Provincial People's Congress, went to Jiaozuo Municipal Museum to investigate the cultural development.

Basic Display

Jiaozuo City reform and opening up Achievements Exhibition

The basic Exhibition "Jiaozuo reform and opening up achievements exhibition" is located on the first floor of the main exhibition hall. The exhibition area is nearly 1000 square meters, and the exhibition line is 110 meters. It displays more than 400 pictures and objects. The exhibition is divided into nine parts: 1. "Party and state leaders inspect Jiaozuo"; 2. "Jiaozuo administrative division evolution"; 3. "Unique economic and geographical advantages"; 4. "Comprehensive level of economic and social development"; 5“ "The party's ideological construction"; 6, "urban construction"; 7, "well-off village construction"; 8, "Chinese and foreign journalists see Jiaozuo"; 9, "county (city) District style". The whole exhibition comprehensively and systematically reflects the brilliant achievements of Jiaozuo in industry, agriculture, science and technology, urban construction and spiritual civilization construction since its establishment, especially since the reform and opening up. In the center of the exhibition hall, there is a panoramic view of Jiaozuo, the largest sand table model in our province. The sand table covers an area of more than 60 square meters, showing the topography and administrative divisions of Jiaozuo City at a ratio of 1:20000. The sand table is equipped with a circuit control system, which can show the location of all walks of life and important construction projects in Jiaozuo, such as the Yellow River Highway Bridge, Jiaozheng Expressway and south to North Water Diversion Project And so on.

Stone carving art exhibition

The exhibition area is about 500 square meters, displaying more than 50 pieces of Steles, epitaphs, statues and other stone carvings from the Han Dynasty to modern times in Jiaozuo City: exquisite statue steles of the Northern Dynasty, wonderful calligraphy of the Tang and Song Dynasties, complete line carvings of the song and Jin Dynasties, and commemorative works The tombstone of Xu Heng, a famous scholar in the Yuan Dynasty, the inscription in the late Ming Dynasty that Feng Lei was the natural enemy of locusts, and the stone inscriptions of Yingfu company and Zhongyuan company reflecting the development of Jiaozuo coal mine in modern times.

Collection

Jiaozuo Museum has a rich collection with local characteristics. There are 3315 cultural relics on the shelves. Every year, new products come into the collection, mainly including porcelain, pottery, stone tools, jade, calligraphy and painting, bronze, coins, miscellaneous utensils, etc. among them, bronzes of Han Dynasty, large-scale painted pottery storehouse of Eastern Han Dynasty, and figurines of Yuan Dynasty opera are well-known both at home and abroad by participating in the national cultural relics exhibition or going abroad cultural relics exhibition held by the state.

Taocanglou, unearthed in Jiaozuo area, stands out among tens of thousands of Han Dynasty pottery wares for its simple shape, magnificent momentum, superb skills and profound connotation. It is known as the symbol of the ancient mountain sun and the treasure of the city museum. It has been exhibited abroad many times.

The pottery storehouse is made of fine clay. The five story Pavilion style pottery storehouse was unearthed in mazuo, Shanyang District, our city in 1973. It is 161 cm high and 144 cm wide. The main building is like a pagoda, majestic and majestic. The attached building is inverted cone-shaped, small and exquisite. The whole building complements each other. The five story painted pottery storehouse was unearthed in March 1984 in Baizhuang, Daiwang Town, our city. It is 145 cm high and 81 cm wide. It is full of colorful paintings.

Dangyangyu kiln is rich in bowls, plates, bowls, pots, vases, light pots and all kinds of small toys. The body materials include white, gray, sand and clay. The glaze colors include white, soy, black and twisted colored glaze. It is famous for picking flowers and unique for twisted rubber glaze. Back then, how many vehicles came and went along the continuous Taihang Mountain Road, and porcelain was sent to Bianjing, Jiangnan and Saibei. In this wasteland, how many kiln workers worked with sweat and ingenuity, and how many kiln owners were complacent and rich? What are the thousands of pieces of porcelain they burned in those years? What kind of pleasant sound does the white jade porcelain plate make when it is pressed gently? What kind of glaze is dipped in and what kind of pattern is drawn out with a small brush? What's the wonderful process? What kind of hand, what kind of heart, and what kind of day and night waiting, can we turn red iron into gold and jade, and make a handful of ordinary porcelain clay become bone, flesh, spirit, rhyme and emotion? How did they warm the lives of the common people when they came to the people? How did they decorate the luxurious dreams when they decorated the royal family?

History Exhibition

According to the principle of "protection first, rescue first, rational utilization and strengthened management", Jiaozuo museum made full use of the patriotic education base to carry out publicity and education for the society and the masses. More than 100 large-scale exhibitions have been held, including Jiaozuo reform and opening up achievement exhibition, advocating science and civilization, opposing superstition and ignorance, cherishing life, rejecting drugs, preventing juvenile delinquency exhibition, Jiaozuo Party style and clean government construction and anti-corruption struggle achievement exhibition, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the founding of the party exhibition, Jiaozuo landscape international photography exhibition, etc. It has won wide praise from all walks of life.

Henan Provincial Museum, Jiaozuo City Museum and the Royal Museum of art and history of Belgium jointly held the exhibition "under the eaves of China" in the palace of 50 years in Belgium.
