Xicang Temple
Xicang temple is located ten kilometers east of Luqu county. The temple sits in the north and south, with its back against the mountain Mang, which looks like a silver gray sleeping elephant. The water of Taohe River flows around the temple and flows from west to East. The mountain shape opposite the temple is very auspicious. Around the temple, green pines and cypresses, evergreen all the year round, a quiet and peaceful state.

Xicang temple was built on the basis of several original local small temples. It was built in 1839 and was presided over by the third famous monk of Labrang temple, dewacang jiayangtu danima. Later, the tribe of the temple presented the temple to the third Jiamuyang living Buddha. Xicang Temple became the sub Temple of Labrang temple. Politics and religion belonged to Labrang temple, which managed all the affairs of Xicang temple and its tribe. The third Jiamuyang, the third dehuacang, Huari living Buddha, gongkejianzan and so on once served as the Buddhist platform of Xicang temple. Xicang Temple college rules, festival law society, etc. are similar to Labrang temple. According to the history of politics and religion in Anduo, the emperor of Qing Dynasty once granted the temple "Prajna island". The development of Xicang temple is very rapid. At the beginning of liberation, there were six colleges in the temple, including Wensi college, xubu upper and lower college, xijingang college, Shilun Jingang college and medical college. There were 14 sutras halls, Buddhist halls and Dharma protection temples, with more than 500 monks.
In 1958, Xicang temple was preserved and demolished during the cultural revolution. Since 1982, Xicang temple has been gradually restored, with the establishment of the Sutra hall and Dharma protection temple. Now there is only Wenen college, with 152 monks.
