Regong Art Museum mainly investigates and studies the historical development of Regong Art, the life of artists, the distribution of works and the loss of Regong Art. It excavates, collects and arranges fine works of art to publicize Regong Art. There are five exhibition halls: Thangka hall, sculpture hall, duixiao hall, sand table hall and cultural relics hall.
Regong Art Museum
The Regong Art Museum of Huangnan Prefecture is the only Institute of Tibetan painting research in Qinghai Province. Founded in 1982, the art museum was known as the "Regong Art Research Preparatory Group" under the jurisdiction of the Federation of literary and art circles of Qinghai Province.
Introduction to scenic spots
In 1985, due to many factors, the people's Government of Huangnan Prefecture decided to take over the work of the "preparatory group" from the Provincial Federation of literary and art circles, and established the "Huangnan Regong Art Museum" in June 1985. The former general secretary of the CPC Central Committee Hu Yaobang inscribed the name of the museum when he visited Huangnan in 1986, and the famous artist Zhu naizheng inscribed the name of the museum. His main responsibilities are to investigate the historical development of Regong Art, the life of artists, the distribution of works and the loss of Regong Art, excavate, collect, organize and collect fine arts, do a good job in the publicity of Regong Art, actively carry out the research and academic exchange of Arts and crafts, and be responsible for cultivating art reserve talents. There are five exhibition halls: Thangka hall, sculpture hall, duixiao hall, sand table hall and cultural relics hall. The collection includes nearly 100 works of Ming and Qing Dynasties, more than 1000 modern fine works, and more than 100 prints and sculptures. At present, there are 15 staff, including 1 National Master of Arts and crafts, 1 senior arts and crafts artist and 4 arts and crafts artists. For a long time, Regong artists have been practising on the road of art, and their skills have become more and more skilled. Their footprints have spread all over Qinghai, Tibet, Gansu, Sichuan, Inner Mongolia, India, Nepal, Thailand and other countries, leaving tens of thousands of exquisite works of art to these regions and countries and winning a high reputation. Due to its reputation in Northwest China, Southwest China, Southeast Asia, some European and American countries, researchers from the United States, Japan, Germany, Thailand, South Korea, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan have come to study this unique art and become the main tourism projects and products from Huangnan to Qinghai.
