Introduction to Nianduhu Temple
In Tibetan, it is called "niandu in garzhaxida Jilin", which means "niandu in the auspicious prosperous continent". Located at the foot of Beishan, the seat of Nianduhu township government, 1km north of Tongren County, Qinghai Province. According to the history of politics and religion in Anduo, Nianduhu temple was built by danzhiqin at the beginning, and became a temple of Longwu temple during the period of the third Xiaxia canggendunchilie (1740-1794). After that, at the request of local monks and customs, Gendun Jiacuo, the living Buddha of kanqin in Longwu temple, was appointed as the abbot of the temple. Since then, successive generations have been appointed as the host. Later, the statue of Maitreya was made in Huadan, Bitang, and the murals of ten places were painted. Yeshi Jianggen dunda wrote the construction of Maitreya hall. Temple monks inherited the painting tradition of guru and produced many artists. According to the investigation materials of the United Front Work Department of Tongren County Party committee in 1954, there were 210 monks in 85 families in the temple at that time. There were five angqian courtyards with living Buddhas such as xiaricang, kanqincang, kasuhu Cang, dancang, arucang, and one Sutra hall, mile hall, Shijia Hall, and Dharma protection hall. The main believers in Nianduhu village were the masses. After 1958, there are the great Sutra hall, Maitreya hall, secret mantra room, teahouse, angqian 1 courtyard and Sangha 5 courtyard. Approved to open in February 1987, 15 new monasteries have been built with 15 monks. They resumed normal religious activities, chanted sutras on the 15th and 30th of each lunar month, and held praying Dharma meetings from the 8th to the 13th of the first lunar month. Meanwhile, a large Buddha statue of Sakyamuni was displayed on the 12th.
Kanqincang, the master of the Yusi temple, was handed down for seven generations. Kanqingendunjiacuo, a native of suhuri village nearby, was handed down as the second
Since he presided over the affairs of the temple, he has lived for five generations, namely, the third guanquequnpaijiacuo, the fourth dongweijiacuo (quma people), the fifth luosanghuadan Jiacuo (Longwu people), the sixth luosanglonggajiacuo (nianduren), the seventh Gongbao (Public Security) and the seventh nianduren (village people). He has been a member of the Tongren County CPPCC, and now he has left his post.
Folk activities
The villagers of Nianduhu are mainly Tu people, calling themselves "hor". The natural village is surrounded by Tibetans. Therefore, they are influenced by Tibetan culture to varying degrees in religious belief, living customs, national language, clothing and so on. Especially in religious belief, they accept Tibetan Buddhism. They talk in local language everyday, but they are familiar with Tibetan and can communicate with the outside world in Chinese. The village has an ancient city called Nianduhu. It is said that it was built in the Ming Dynasty when the immigrants garrisoned the border. The plane is rectangular, 310 meters long from north to South and 90 meters wide from east to west. The wall is rammed with soil, 10 meters high and 4 meters wide.
Wutu is a very old folk activity here. It is a kind of sacrifice dance of Tu people. This is a history of hundreds of years. In this kind of dance, there are some folk dance forms with primitive cultural concepts, so it is known as the "living fossil" of human art history, and it is the vivid living material for us to study the development of human art.
