In 714, Zhichu village, Zhichu Town, formed a small village. At that time, zhechi was overgrown with weeds and many Poncirus trifoliata, so it was named "Zhichu" (Chu, meaning Bush).

The village is located in low mountains and hills, the highest point of 280.7 meters above sea level, the terrain from east to west from high to low. The territory is rich in wheat, corn, peanuts and all kinds of vegetables.

It is adjacent to Fengtai mountain in the East, Nancang village and Beizao village in the north, gongjiadao village in the West and Sunjiazhuang village in the south. It is under the jurisdiction of Zhichu Town, Zhifu District, Yantai city. The total area of the village is 248.9 hectares, including 33 hectares of cultivated land and 100 hectares of enterprises. In 2000, there were 1380 households in the village with a total population of 3520, and the natural population growth rate was 6.77 ‰. There are 160 surnames in Chu. In addition to Wang, Liu, Li, Shen, Jin and Tang, there are also mu, Tang, Yang and Guo. Except one Hui, all the others are Han.

Regional overview

In the early days of the people's Republic of China, the total income of the rural economy was only 80000 yuan, and the annual per capita income was about 40 yuan. In 1978, the total income of the rural economy reached 1.12 million yuan. In 1983, the total income of rural economy reached 2.55 million yuan. Previously, the village's economic development was dominated by agriculture. After the cable factory was established in 1984, it began to take the road of economic construction that industrial economy drives agricultural economy and then develops to industry in an all-round way. In 2000, the total economic income of the village was 560 million yuan, of which the industrial income accounted for 85% of the total economic income, reaching 480 million yuan, the tax paid was 21.09 million yuan, and the per capita net income was more than 4600 yuan. The proportion of primary industry, secondary industry and tertiary industry in the total income of rural economy is 1 ∶ 85 ∶ 14 respectively. The total investment in social fixed assets was 480 million yuan, and the net income of the whole village was 69.6 million yuan.

Yantai city ranked one of the economically strong villages. It has been awarded the title of "provincial civilized village" by Shandong Provincial People's government for 8 consecutive years, and "the first village of industrial output value" and "the first village of industrial star" by Zhifu District of Yantai City for 10 consecutive years. In 1994, it was rated as "the best economic benefit township enterprise in China" by the Ministry of agriculture, and was listed as the only provincial high-tech industry intensive area in Shandong Province by the science and Technology Commission of Shandong Province; in 1995, it was approved as the first national village run private science and Technology Park in China by the science and Technology Commission of Shandong Province In 1997, it was approved by the Ministry of agriculture as a national first-class township enterprise.

Memorabilia

In 1941, young woman Wang Shuqing joined the party secretly and became the first CPC member in the village.

In February 1946, Gao Zhongsheng, Secretary of the Zhishui district Party committee of the Communist Party of China, led the working team to the village and established the first branch of Zhichu village of the Communist Party of China. Sun Hongtao was appointed secretary of the Party branch.

In September 1952, Xiang Yongtang established the first mutual aid group.

In March 1956, a senior agricultural production cooperative was set up, with six production teams, 379 households and 1456 people.

In May 1965, Zhichu village was the residence of Zhichu people's commune.

That year, the new primary school was completed.

In September 1969, Taishan brand 12 horsepower tractor was purchased, which was the first tractor in the village.

In 1970, the village electrician repair group changed its name to Zhichu repair factory, the first collective owned "factory" enterprise in the village.

In 1977, the village bought the first "Gangcheng" brand car.

In February 1984, Yantai Cable Factory, the first cable factory in Yantai, was founded.

In 1987, the first 3538 square meter villager's residential building with water and electricity was completed, and 58 villager's new houses were moved.

In March 1989, Zhou Guangzhao, President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, inspected the cable factory.

In June 1991, Hu Qiaomu cut the ribbon for the completion of the radiation crosslinking production line of the cable factory.

This year, the total industrial output value of the whole village broke through the 100 million yuan mark for the first time and entered the 100 million yuan village of Yantai city.

In March 1993, Zhifu district Party committee approved the expansion of the general Party branch of Zhichu village into the Party committee of Zhichu village, which is the first village level Party committee in the whole district. Li Shixun was appointed as the Secretary of the Party committee.

In November, Yantai Zhichu Group Corporation was established.

In June 1994, Jiang Chunyun, Secretary of the provincial Party committee, visited Zhichu village.

In August 1995, Zhichu group company was approved by the State Science and Technology Commission as the first village level private science and Technology Park in China.

In April 1998, Zhichu group was listed as one of the top 100 key enterprise groups in Shandong Province.

In October 1999, with the approval of Shandong Provincial People's government, Shandong Zhichu private science and Technology Park Co., Ltd. was officially established.

In 2000, the private science and Technology Park was approved by the Ministry of agriculture as a national science and technology park for township enterprises, and was also recognized as a national key high-tech enterprise.

primary industry

In 1945, there were 464 households, 2111 people and 207 hectares of arable land in the village. Most fields yield only about 50 kg per mu. In September 1952, the first perennial mutual aid group was established. In March 1955, a primary agricultural production cooperative was set up, and in March 1956, a senior agricultural production cooperative was set up, with 385 households and 1431 people, 181 hectares of land, and the total value of means of production was 12379 yuan. The annual total income was 164300 yuan, and the total grain output was 480800 kg, with an average yield of 243.5 kg per mu.

In the early 1960s, the first planting of 6 Mu upland rice was successful, with a total yield of 660 kg. By 1970, the rice area of the whole village was nearly 40 hectares, with a total yield of 182000 kg, known as "Jiangnan in the north". Since 1971, gongjiadao pumping station has been rebuilt to irrigate about 32 hectares of farmland. In 1976, the village's agricultural income was 254000 yuan.

From the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to 1983, Zhichu village began to transform from a single agricultural economy to a comprehensive suburban economy. In 1980, it had 137 sets of main agricultural machinery with 1950.5 horsepower. There are 16 tractors and hundreds of machines. In 1983, the total economic income reached 2.555 million yuan, and the agricultural income reached 2.015 million yuan. Among them, the grain income is only 22500 yuan, while the vegetable income is 122700 yuan and the fruit income is 44300 yuan. The output value of the whole village is above 450 yuan per mu. At that time, the cultivated land of the whole village was sharply reduced to 50.6 hectares, and the grain field was reduced to 13 hectares.

From 1984 to 1996, Zhichu village completed the transformation period to industrial type. In 1996, the total output value of agriculture was only 420000 yuan, less than one thousandth of the total output value of industry. The whole village has begun to urbanization.

the secondary industry

Industry: in 1984, a cable factory was established, with an output value of 1.86 million yuan. By 1985, the total industrial output value was 9.9852 million yuan, the tax paid was 901 million yuan, and the net income was 1.62 million yuan. In 1986, Yantai automobile interior parts factory was built. The factory has invested 5.46 million US dollars to import automatic heating furnace, car carpet production line and other equipment from Italy, forming an annual production capacity of 160000 car supporting products. In 1987, Yantai Zhifu nonferrous metal processing plant was built, and a new type of wear-resistant brass rolling mill slider was developed, which filled the domestic blank. In 1988, we cooperated with China National Pharmaceutical Industry Corporation to build Yantai No.2 pharmaceutical factory, forming a production capacity of 50 varieties in four series of "Qingda, maibai, tablet and injection", which was identified as a large (second) type township enterprise by the Ministry of agriculture.
