Jinan Forest Park

Jinan Forest Park is the "Spring City" -- the only comprehensive urban park in the west of Jinan City, which integrates woodland, wetland, water stream, sculpture and other landscapes, and integrates recreation, popular science, fitness, risk avoidance and other functions.

Jinan Forest Park is located in Zhangzhuang Road, Huaiyin District, Jinan City, Shandong Province, adjacent to Xingji River in the East, 2nd Ring West Road in the West and Ji West Road in the north. The total area of the park is 1043 mu, including 60.1 hectares of green area and 4.8 hectares of water system area.

Layout features

The overall layout is "one ring, one axis, five lakes and nine gardens". "One ring" refers to the shady landscape road around the whole park; "one axis" refers to the central axis running through the north and South natural landscape, from the entrance of the south gate to the wetland landscape at the northernmost end through platform garden, lancui lake and science exhibition hall; "five lakes" is the main water landscape in the park, including lancui lake, Yongcui lake, Yingcui lake, huayuwan and Jicui Lake; "nine gardens" refers to the special park, including platform garden and sculpture garden Plastic garden, Science Park, spring garden, summer wood garden, autumn garden, fir garden, bamboo garden, children's paradise.

Construction characteristics

Practice green, low-carbon and energy-saving construction. The whole project adopts multiple measures such as enriching topography, constructing reasonable water system and increasing cultural connotation, and adopts new energy, new technology and new materials such as solar photovoltaic power generation, ground source heat pump and light steel structure to actively practice and promote green low-carbon and energy-saving construction. Three Highlights

Rainwater utilization

In the park, rainwater is collected and used. According to the low-lying features of the original nursery, many lakes are built and connected by streams. They are usually used as water landscape and collect rainwater in flood season. They can not only effectively play the functions of flood storage, flood drainage and drainage, but also be used to irrigate green space.

Utilization of sunlight

Careful visitors may notice that the lighting systems of Science Museum, main ring road, South Gate Square and parking lot are all solar photovoltaic power generation. According to reports, the daily effective sunshine of 5 hours can fully meet the power demand of Science Museum, South Gate parking lot and surrounding office and management.

In addition, the air conditioning system of 5000 square meters Science Museum adopts geo heat pump technology, which is a high-efficiency energy-saving and environment-friendly air conditioning system that uses shallow underground geothermal resources and can both heat and cool. It is estimated that this system can save more than 30% energy than ordinary central air conditioning.

The fir house in the park is also different. Its main body is made of light steel structure, which has strong anti-seismic, wind resistant, anti-corrosion, heat preservation, sound insulation, ventilation and other multiple properties. It is really green and environmentally friendly, efficient and energy-saving.

Create sculpture area

It is the first time in Jinan that sculptures are built in the park to highlight the sculpture culture. According to statistics, a total of 18 groups of sculptures have been completed in Jinan forest park.

The cultural connotation of Forest Park is sculpture culture, which belongs to the first phase of construction, and the second phase and even the long-term construction plan has been formed. In the next step, according to the style and characteristics of the forest park, the garden department will increase high-quality sculpture works on relevant subjects year by year. By strengthening the cultural interaction with international friendly cities, exchanging sculpture works, inviting well-known sculpture masters at home and abroad to tailor their works, the garden will gradually enrich the sculpture content and improve the cultural connotation and popularity of the sculpture park.

In the later construction of the park, a cultural education base for young people's ceramic sculpture will be added to provide a platform for children to learn, produce and exhibit. The park will also open up a special area to coordinate and organize major art colleges and universities such as Mountain Art and mountain craft to hold exhibitions of excellent sculpture works. When conditions are ripe, it will also hold international sculpture exhibitions to create an internationally famous sculpture culture park for the public.

Ecological function

The abundant wetland seedling vegetation in the park plays a positive role in improving air quality, water conservation and providing biological habitat, which greatly improves the surrounding ecological environment. Entering the park in hot summer, the "cold island effect" is very obvious.

Popular science function

The science museum in the park is equipped with plant science exhibition hall, 3D projection hall and specimen storage room, which can systematically and intensively display the evolution of nature.

Ornamental function

Five water bodies in the park, such as "lancui Lake", are connected with each other through the Cuixi River, and are organically integrated with the surrounding seedlings and vegetation, with rippling green waves and pleasant scenery. "Terrace garden" and other nine special parks have distinct themes and different styles. They are good places for citizens and tourists who have lived in downtown for a long time to enjoy the landscape and get close to nature.

Fitness and entertainment function

In the east of the park, there are 8000 square meters of open fitness square and chess court area, with more than 60 pieces of basketball, badminton court, table tennis table, chess table and other equipment, which can accommodate more than 500 people for leisure fitness, playing chess and watching chess. The children's playground in the west of the park is all paved with soft sea sand. It is reported that it is the park with the most sea sand in Jinan, and there are more than 20 amusement facilities imported from Finland.

Disaster prevention function

There are 73000 square meters of roads, squares and open lawns in the park. In case of natural disasters and special dangers, the park can play the functions of disaster prevention and distribution, providing a safe gathering place for the surrounding residents.
