Basic exhibition hall
It is the most attractive highlight in the planning of the world art museum to establish a basic exhibition of world art, so that the audience can have a more comprehensive understanding of world civilization through the exhibition. As a platform for long-term cooperation with international museums, collectors, cultural foundations and other cultural and art organizations, the World Museum of art will provide exhibits for this basic exhibition by changing some exhibits from time to time, so that the basic display of world art will really become a bridge and window for international cooperation.
The basic display of the world art history is divided into six parts: Ancient Egypt, the two river basins, ancient Greece, ancient Rome, India and American civilization. Through the physical display of these six civilizations, the representative works of art in the world art history can be displayed. At present, with the strong support of the Italian Ministry of cultural heritage and several major museums in the United States, we have completed the work of borrowing the exhibits for the basic display of the six civilizations. In October 2006, the precious cultural relics of the world's six famous civilizations appeared in Beijing for the first time.
Special exhibition hall
The special exhibition is the supplement, extension and refinement of the basic exhibition of world art. It will also be the most wonderful and attractive part of the museum. It is one of the biggest efforts to build the World Museum of art, and it is also a project strongly supported by museums all over the world. We will organize, CO organize or introduce high-quality special exhibitions in the form of independent curation and joint curation, and embody the vitality and attractive attraction of the museum with constantly changing, constantly exciting and colorful contents. At present, it has been planned to hold a series of special exhibitions from 2006 to 2008, such as "Italian Renaissance Art Exhibition", "Cleveland Impressionist Painting Exhibition", "Pompeii Art Exhibition", "Persian Art Exhibition", "Phillips Gallery collection exhibition", "sunken Egypt" and "Qin Han Empire and Roman Empire Exhibition". Among them, "Qin Han Empire and Roman Empire Exhibition" is a large-scale exhibition jointly held by China and Italy at the World Museum of art in 2008. At that time, it will coincide with the 2008 Olympic Games. Through this exhibition, we will show the world the Chinese people's respect for world cultural heritage, the history of civilizations, and cultural tolerance. The exhibition is also an attempt to show the comparison between Chinese civilization and foreign civilization and the theme of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries. The exhibition plans to tour in Beijing, Rome and other places, so that more audiences can share the exhibition with us. In addition, a series of cooperative exhibition projects with cultural institutions in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, the United States and Japan are also in the process of brewing and negotiation.
Digital Art Gallery
The increasingly developed digital technology makes "virtual museum" possible, and the digital resources of the museum can be nearly real at any time and any place. Museum visitors can "truly" perceive the digitized works of art far away from the museum. Compared with the traditional museum collections, digital museum collections have obvious advantages in the requirements of preservation conditions, the richness of collection information and the convenience of dissemination. All these changes caused by technological progress will make the concept of Museum change greatly.
The lack of collections is the primary obstacle to the establishment of the world art museum. Therefore, the construction of the digital art museum is the focus of the preparation of the world art museum, and the construction of the digital world art information center is the work content. At the same time, the completed digital art museum can also be used as the cultural background and effective supplement of the physical art exhibition, and become the main form of interaction with the audience.
At present, the Digital Art Museum has completed the hardware construction. In the next step, it will comprehensively collect and sort out the digital materials of world art, carry out the research according to the requirements of Chinese art education and research, and serve the audience and researchers through on-site broadcasting, information inquiry, electronic publications, broadband network communication and other ways. The Mellon foundation, an American cultural and educational foundation, has given great help to the construction of the Digital Museum of art. It will provide the World Museum of art with a set of digital image library specially used for world art teaching. In addition, relying on the network resources for art communication, and physical exhibition launched online exhibition to attract a large number of online audience is also the direction of future exploration.
