Seven Buddha Temple

The seven Buddha Temple is named after the worship of seven Buddhas, such as rickets sun Tathagata, visshe Tathagata, Shichu Tathagata, visha Tathagata, gounahan Tathagata, Kaya Tathagata and Sakyamuni Tathagata.

Layout structure

Qifo temple is connected with Laoshan Forest Park, with its back against Maomao mountain, front facing chair mountain, left near Laoying mountain and right overlooking Xiangshan mountain. Surrounded by mountains, it has beautiful scenery. The mountain flowers and trees are verdant, and the Buddhist language and Sanskrit sound are heard in it. It can be called a solemn paradise and a fairyland on earth.

Current Abbot

The current abbot, named Dingzhong, is 48 years old. He became a monk in 1995. He was given up to master Cizhou, abbot of Baohua mountain. He successively held important positions in baiyun temple, blissful temple and Baoen temple, such as Zhike, Jianyuan and abbot. In 2011, he presided over the affairs of the seven Buddha Temple at the invitation of relevant departments. Master Dingzhong adheres to the policy of carrying forward the Dharma and offering free incense, which makes many believers come here with admiration. He is one of the few ascetic monks in modern times.

The origin of the temple's name

The seven Buddhas are collectively known as the "past seven Buddhas", also known as the original seven Buddhas. It is recorded in the Sutra of the seven Buddhas that there used to be seven Buddhas in the Suva world, and Sakyamuni was the last one. Before him, there were six Buddhas, vipasyin, sikhin, visvabhu, krakucchanda, kanakamuni and Kasyapa. The first three Buddhas were the three Buddhas The last four Buddhas are the four Buddhas who have robbed thousands of Buddhas.

The past seven Buddhas are the past six Buddhas before Sakyamuni Buddha became a Buddha. Together with Sakyamuni Buddha, they are the past seven Buddhas in our Saha world.
