The Yuandadu ruins park is built on the Yuandadu ruins (national key cultural relic protection unit, batch number VI - 1). It starts from Mingguang Village, Xueyuan South Road, Haidian District in the west, reaches huangtingzi in the north, and turns to Madian and Qijiahuozi in the East. The national 4A tourist attraction is a modern urban heritage park with cultural and historical connotation, which integrates the protection of historical sites, leisure and recreation of citizens, improvement of ecological environment, disaster prevention and emergency refuge.
As the witness and physical remains of the development of Beijing's urban civilization, Yuandadu site is an important trace to study the changes of Beijing's urban site, which is of great significance to the exploration and development of Beijing's cultural history. Historical development
In 1266, Kublai Khan decided to rebuild the new city in the northeast of the former central capital, and construction began in 1267. In 1957, "Tucheng" was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit by Beijing Municipal People's government.
In order to protect the Yuandadu ruins, the Tucheng greening team was set up in Chaoyang District on September 25, 1974. The park was officially approved by Beijing Municipal People's Government on March 10, 1988 and named "Yuandadu Ruins Park"

In September 1989, the district government set up a stele named "Yuandadu city wall site" on the north side of the west end of Jian'an East Road. The stele is 2.5 meters high, 4 meters wide and 1 meter thick. There are more than 600 words of "Dadu Fu" on the east side of the tablet and the inscription of "Yuandadu city wall site" on the west side of the tablet, which briefly introduces the vicissitudes of the city wall of Yuandadu in the past 700 years

In order to protect the Yuandadu ruins and cooperate with the Olympic landscape construction, Chaoyang District Greening Bureau carried out the overall transformation of Yuandadu Ruins Park in 2003. After the transformation, the Yuandadu Chengyuan ruins park is the largest of four in Beijing and the first in China: the largest urban belt park, the largest outdoor sculpture, the largest constructed wetland, and the first pilot park to complete the construction of emergency shelters in Beijing. Main attractions
Yuandadu city wall ruins park is a narrow strip with a total length of 9 kilometers, across Chaoyang and Haidian districts. The five nodes in the park, namely "Jimen Yanshu", "Dadu Jiandian", "Guyuan Xinyun", "Dadu ShengDian" and "Longze Yuyue", connect the Chaoyang section with the Haidian section, and show the development of Dadu in the Yuan Dynasty for more than 700 years

Haidian section
There are ten scenic spots in the yuantucheng ruins park within the boundary of Haidian District, which are: Chengyuan reminiscence, Jimen tobacco tree, Tieqi Xiongfeng, jicao Fenfei, Yinbo Deyue, crape myrtle painting, Dadu Jiandian, Shuiguan Xinyi, Anshan Shengshi, Yanyun pastoral

"Jimen tobacco tree" node is the most Western starting point of Yuandu park. The scenic spot is particularly beautiful in spring, and spring is also the starting point of the year. "Jimen tobacco tree" symbolizes the early stage of the development of the ancient city of Beijing, and symbolizes the bright future of the city with the vigorous vitality of spring. According to legend, Tucheng is an ancient Jizhou site. The old buildings and halls were abandoned, but there are many trees beside the tufu in the gate. This is the "Jimen tobacco tree" in the eight scenes of Yanjing. Chaoyang section
Located on the East and west sides of Zhongzhou Road and the south side of the Olympic Park, Yuandadu Ruins Park (Chaoyang section) is the largest belt park in Beijing. Environmental construction
The green coverage rate of Dadu Ruins Park in Yuan Dynasty reached 73%. Xiaoyuehe River crossed the park. On the south side of the park is the protection area of Tucheng ruins, and on the north bank is the construction area of green scenic spots. Xiaoyue river is the main water scenic area. Seven aquatic plant areas are planted with lotus, reed, calamus, scallion and other aquatic plants, and a hydrophilic viewing platform is built.
