Renovation and reconstruction
At the beginning of Qing Dynasty, when Emperor Kangxi built the Royal Garden of three mountains and five gardens, the Muslims who lived in this square took advantage of the flourishing age to expand the old temple. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the mosque was demolished for the second time in 1965 due to the dredging and excavation of the Jingmi diversion canal. It was moved to a temporary temple with six rooms, just a small corner of the original mosque. In June 2002, anheqiao mosque was demolished again. The government spent a lot of money to move the mosque from anheqiao village to Qinglongqiao village.
Scale system
The former anheqiao mosque covers an area of 6 mu, about 4000 square meters. It is a three entrance courtyard. In the southeast corner of the courtyard, there is an independent women's water room, and in the north is a porridge shed for Festival dinner. In the second entrance courtyard, there is a men's water room in the south, a burying platform room in the north, a symmetrical north-south lecture hall in the three entrance courtyard, and in the west is the main building of the mosque Small cross courtyard children, North Cross courtyard for the Muslim primary school at that time.
Now anheqiao mosque covers an area of 1200 square meters, with a construction area of 700 square meters. The architectural style is antique cement.
Architectural features
The architectural style of anheqiao mosque belongs to the cement antique type. The overall style echoes with the Royal Garden Summer Palace, reflecting the exquisite art of ancient Chinese architecture. The chapel is a four story octagonal pavilion with a floor area of 220 square meters. Its novel style is particularly rare in the architectural history of Beijing mosque.
Cooperation and exchange
During the 2008 Olympic Games, anheqiao mosque was selected as the Olympic foreign religious site to provide religious services for Chinese and foreign Muslims.

The new temple is located on the outer side of the northwest Fifth Ring Road, adjacent to the Jingmi diversion canal in the East, the north gate of the summer palace in the south, the Xiangshan scenic area in the west, and the foot of the red mountain in the north. It can be called a beautiful temple with elegant environment and beautiful scenery.
