Shangweidian Village
Shangweidian village is a famous "spring mountain land" in Mentougou area of Beijing. It is a rare water town in northern China. In the past, it was named after rich reed, and there are 13 ponds. However, little known is that shangweidian area is an important ancient incense road to the west of Miaofeng Mountain. Shangweidian is of course an ancient village. The history of shangweidian village is also closely related to the temple culture Shangweidian village is close to mountains and rivers. The old houses, old wells and stone mills that remain in the village show an ancient charm. Shangweidian village also has a beautiful name called "moon village". Shangweidian village is also under the jurisdiction of three natural villages: Tanchang, Dagou and Chanfang. There are many scenic spots and historic sites worth visiting, such as Dayun temple, Dishuiyan, Chanfang and Lingjiao.
historical origin
"Shangweidian" was first recorded in words. It was named "shangweidian" in Wan Shu Za Ji written by Shen Bang during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty.
Wanshu Zaji records an interesting story about shangweidian in the Yuan Dynasty. It turns out that as early as the Yuan Dynasty, there was a family surnamed Li living in shangweidian village. The people of shangweidian village burned charcoal in the place now called Tanchang village. They had to cut down a lot of wood, but every time they cut down trees, they were stopped by the temple. Li Renying, a villager in weidian, reported Qiyin temple to the county government. At the beginning of the reign of the county government, the villagers in shangweidian were justified. Faquan, the abbot of keqiyin temple, took out a letter from a royal relative in the Tianhui period of the Jin Dynasty and the approval document from Yuhe County in the 15th year of the Tianhui period (1138). For fear that the villagers would cut down the mountains and forests, they all proved that shangweidian belonged to the temple.
This "rights protection" lawsuit reflects the contradiction between monks' advanced environmental awareness and villagers' survival needs. In the past, there were many spring pools and dense forests in shangweidian area. Up to now, there are still 7 first-class ancient trees and 62 second-class ancient trees more than 1000 years old.
Ancient dwellings
We went to the village to look for old houses. Although shangweidian is an ancient village, there are few old houses that are really old enough, but the style of the mountain village is still there. It's just mixed with some modern things. We can see that the economic situation of the village is pretty good.
Soon after we entered the village, we found an old house, a complete courtyard. Unfortunately, the owner was not there, so we couldn't get in. After looking outside the wall for a long time, we were surprised to find that the gate of the house was not far away. After a few meters long passage, there was a gatehouse. That is to say, the house had double doors. According to the scale of the building, it was also a courtyard that could only be owned by a large family in the past.
It's too time-consuming to find someone to open the door. To find out, we decided to take a man's ladder and take aerial photos on the wall. With the cooperation of the three people, we arranged some films together and put all the screen walls, brick carvings and old tiles into the camera.
Walking along the street to the East, we found some old things in the village, such as manger, old well, Shinan, shigandang in Mount Tai, and abandoned ancient houses.
Moon village
Shangweidian village also has a beautiful name called "moon village".
From the national highway to shangweidian village, there is a 6 km Panshan road. Although the asphalt road is very good, it is circuitous and steep. As our car keeps climbing, the surrounding mountains seem to be connected with heaven and earth. It's really like Chang'e rushing to the moon and landing in fairyland.
Lao Zhao said that this is the best place to enjoy the moon. On the way, we felt fresh. When we came back in the evening, we were lucky to see the moon hanging on the southeast mountain top. The afterglow of the setting sun shining on the steep mountain peaks, and the warm colors changed instantly. Unfortunately, without a telephoto lens, we couldn't capture the moon and the mountain at the same time, so we had to take a picture of the mountain at dusk on the road as a souvenir, but we were also very satisfied.
Goddess Temple
Weidian village is divided into front street and back street. On the side of the road in front street, you can see a big and flourishing locust tree. Under the tree is Niangniang Temple, which is called "an temple" by the local people. Niangniang Temple was built in Chongzhen period of Ming Dynasty. It has a history of more than 300 years. It was rebuilt in Qing Dynasty. There are three main halls, East and West Wing rooms and ear rooms in the temple. In the past, the main hall was dedicated to clay painted empress sitting statue. During the Anti Japanese War, it was burned down by the Japanese army. Later, it was slightly restored. The temple has long been used for other purposes, but the structure of the house has been basically preserved. This is the nunnery. In the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China, pilgrims went to Miaofeng Mountain from the West Road for incense. Instead of tea shed, pilgrims stopped here to drink tea.
Scenery and specialty
Shangweidian village is also under the jurisdiction of three natural villages: Tanchang, Dagou and Chanfang. There are many scenic spots and historic sites worth visiting, such as Dayun temple, Dishuiyan, Chanfang and Lingjiao.
