Li Mianzhi's former residence, located at 74 munan Road, Heping District, Tianjin, is an important historical site and representative building in modern times.

Li Mianzhi's father, Li Ximing, used to be the general manager of Qixin cement company and owns shares in many large enterprises in China. After his death in 1930, Li Mianzhi inherited his father's career and successively held important positions in Huaxin Textile Factory, Zhongtian Electric Machinery Factory and other enterprises. In 1937, Li Mianzhi invited French engineer gailin to design and purchase land here to build four villa style buildings of the same size and style. After completion, the four brothers and sisters of Li Mianzhi, Li Yunzhi, Li Jinzhi and Li Shenzhi lived there.

In May 1994, Li Shenzhi, then honorary chairman of the CPPCC of Heping District, donated his own building to the CPPCC of Heping District free of charge.

The building reaches Hebei Road in the East, munan road in the south, Guilin road in the West and Dali road in the north. The four buildings cover a total area of more than 4000 square meters, and each building covers an area of 984 square meters.
