The first century A.D
Panliao city is located in the south of duolaiti bage road in the southeast suburb of Kashgar City. It is a castle site where ban Chao, a famous general of the Eastern Han Dynasty, was stationed for 17 years from 74 to 91 ad. Banchao took panliao city as the base, fought against Xiongnu, supported the western regions, restored the central government's rule over the western regions, and reopened the silk road. As early as the first century A.D., the city of panliao was recorded in Chinese history books. At the beginning, it was the place where the king of Shule stayed. In 73 A.D., ban Chao sent an envoy to the western regions. It was in this city that he captured the Hun puppet king douti of Shule, defeated the Hun forces and stabilized the western regions. Therefore, it is also called "ban Chao city". In 1759, the city was destroyed by war.
Han dynasty
Panliao city has a long history, which can be traced back to the Han Dynasty. At that time, the powerful regime existing with the Han Dynasty was the northern nomadic Xiongnu. The Xiongnu's invasion and plunder of the Central Plains made it an old enemy of the Central Plains Dynasty. As the location of the imperial palace of Shule, panliao city was also under the rule of douti, the king of Shule who was close to Xiongnu. In 73 A.D., banchao raided panliao city and reopened the silk road. Since then, banchao's prestige in the western regions has gradually improved. In 92 A.D., ban Chao was promoted to the capital of the western regions. It was not until 102 A.D. at the age of 70 that ban Chao left his post and returned to Chang'an. Ban Chao had been operating the western regions for 18 years in panliao city. The history of panliao city is closely related to ban Chao. Therefore, in many historical materials, panliao city is also known as "banchao city".

Panliao city was built on the site of the original ancient city, which was called "xiaotupo" in Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 14.5 mu, with banchao statue as the center. After 1949
At the beginning of this century, the French archaeologist Percy and had explored here. According to the map, only the northern and Western walls were left. The northern wall was 287 meters long and the western wall was 205 meters long, covering an area of 58835 square meters. According to some experts, this is only half the wall of the city. After 1949, most of the city walls were destroyed due to the construction of roads and factories.
Panliao City, located in the southeast of Kashgar City in Xinjiang, is called "eskeshar" in Uyghur language, which means broken city. Broken city, as its name is, is a ruined and dusty historical past. It used to be the palace of the king of Shule state in the western regions. It is also the place where banchao made great achievements in the Eastern Han Dynasty, and it is also the place where Longxing managed the western regions in the Han Dynasty.
The history of wind and rain, the baptism of war, make panliao city and other ancient cities, or man-made destruction, or wind and rain attack, the glory of the past into the history of the pile of paper. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty (1759), it was destroyed by the fire of war. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, the panliao city wall rebuilt after the reign of Emperor Qianlong was also destroyed. Today's panliao city was built on the original site in 1994 to commemorate ban Chao, a historical celebrity who maintained national unity.
Banchao Memorial Park, built on the site of panliao City, has a 3.6-meter-high standing statue of banchao. The 36 warriors who follow banchao are also majestically arranged on both sides of the statue. In the park, the walls stand up, the reliefs are vivid, and the green grass and trees are surrounded. It seems that the beacon tower still shows the smoke of wolves. The moving deeds of heroes' achievements are also told in this thick historical atmosphere.
Historical story
Historically, the city where ban Chao led his troops was called panliao city. Here, plate means fortress, while Ligularia means cloth bag. Banchao city was built on the site of that year. In front of ban Chao's statue, there are 36 ancient figures with different official positions. In those years, ban Chao brought these 36 warriors to pacify the western regions and make the western regions return to the territory of the Eastern Han Dynasty. On the arc-shaped wall behind the statue, there are pictures of ban Chao's few but studious stories, such as serving his mother, joining the army, leaving the western regions, spreading farming, etc., which vividly show ban Chao's extraordinary life.
Banchao city is clean and tidy. It can't see its grandeur, but history keeps it in people's hearts forever.
Ban Chao was born in Xianyang, Shaanxi Province. Before he was 41 years old, he just did some copying in the government. At that time, the Xiongnu rebellion and the Silk Road withered, which seriously affected the political, economic and social development of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Liu Zhuang, emperor of the Han and Ming Dynasties, ordered the army to march to the West. Ban Chao, who was tired of copying official papers all day long, was very surprised. So he joined the western expedition and was appointed Dai Sima to follow Du Wei Dou Gu. In the first battle of the western regions, ban Chao only took 36 warriors to defeat the invincible Xiongnu army and became famous in the western regions. In the following 18 years, banchao took Shule as the base, went through numerous battles, and finally completed the grand cause of unifying the western regions, making the silk road smooth again.
As a result of years of hard work, with the growth of age, ban Chao's health is getting worse and worse. When he left his hometown for 31 years, ban Chao more and more missed his hometown and relatives. He wrote to the emperor, "I dare not expect to go to Jiuquan, I hope to be born in Yumen pass." Emperor Hanhe was deeply moved and granted his request. Ban Chao was able to return to his hometown. But only a month later, ban Chao died of illness.
More than 1000 years have passed, and later generations have not forgotten him. Now banchao city has been opened up as an education base for patriotism and national history, and visitors from all over the world come here every day.
Building a park
In order to commemorate this famous statesman, militarist and diplomat in the Eastern Han Dynasty and praise ban Chao's achievements in safeguarding the reunification of the motherland, the Kashi Municipal People's government built a ban Chao Memorial Park on the ruins of panjuaocheng in 1994 and named it panjuaocheng. The park covers an area of 1 hectare. There is a 3.6-meter-high statue of ban Chao standing in the park. It is solemn and solemn. This cold face is full of courage and perseverance. He is gazing at the distance, as if thinking about the war that he has been thinking about for a long time or his relatives who are worried about his hometown. Thirty six warriors are neatly arranged on both sides in front of banchao's statue, which is lifelike
