Qingfeng Temple
Qingfeng temple is a provincial cultural relic. The temple was built in the fifth year of Longqing (1571) of the Ming Dynasty. It was once known as "the first temple outside Shanhai Pass". It is one of the key ancient buildings in our city. With a construction area of 3418 square meters, there are 34 original halls, three-story halls, Mountain Gate, main hall, accessory hall, monk's room, bell and Drum Tower, tablet and pagoda. Among them, the main hall still retains the Xieshan style architectural structure of the Ming Dynasty, and was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit in 1988.
Qingfeng temple is located in the middle of the southern foot of Shoushan mountain, 15 Li southwest of Liaoyang. It is known as the first temple outside Shanhai Pass. It is one of the well preserved Ming Dynasty buildings in the whole province. A couplet in front of the gate is more famous because of its owner's identity. It is a couplet written by Emperor Qianlong: "when you stay in front of the mountain, there is a clear wind blowing in the turbid world, and you often get lost in the sunshine by the Qingyun terrace.".
