Liaoheyuan National Forest Park is divided into three scenic spots, namely forest grassland Huahai area, Mameng mountain forest bathing beach Xianju villa resort area and Liao Dynasty ancient tomb area. There are 65 scenic spots. "Jiulong Panyang" is a unique scenic spot. The tree has a huge crown. Its nine branches are either upward, downward or horizontal, and all of them bend and circle. It looks like Qiulong opera. It is known as the "strange tree in the world".
Liaoheyuan National Forest Park
Liaoheyuan National Forest Park is located in DAWOPU forest farm, Pingquan County, Hebei Province. It is named because it is the birthplace of Liaohe River in China.
The total area of the park is 11886 hectares, and the forest coverage rate is 81.2%. The main peak of Mayu mountain (bare mountain) is 1738 meters above sea level.
There is a large area of primary secondary forest in the park, and the vertical distribution of plants is obvious. There are more than 2000 species of plants, including 198 species of woody plants, and more than 20 species of wild animals, including leopard and golden eagle, which are first-class protected animals of the state.

Liaoheyuan National Forest Park is located in the hinterland of DAWOPU forest farm, 60 kilometers northwest of Pingquan County, Hebei Province, bordering Lingyuan City, Inner Mongolia Ningcheng county and Hebei Chengde County in the East, North and west respectively. It is 80 kilometers away from Chengde City, with a total area of 230 square kilometers.
Mountain landform
Liaoheyuan National Forest Park belongs to the transition zone of Inner Mongolia platform anticline and qilaotuling in geotectonics. Since the Mesozoic Yanshanian movement, ground volcanic eruption, magma overflow, and many times of magmatic activities, with the crustal movement, it gradually rose to land, forming different granite, caves, and cliffs, such as middle mountain, low mountain, and hilly area, forming a variety of landforms.

The region belongs to warm temperate zone to middle temperate zone, semi humid and semi-arid continental cool temperate mountain climate, characterized by four distinct seasons, rainy and hot seasons, sufficient light, abundant rainfall, small wind and sand, large temperature difference between day and night, annual average temperature of 5-7 ℃, annual average rainfall of 500-700mm, mainly concentrated in July to September, daily maximum rainfall of 170mm, frost free period of 120-130 days, winter snow 5 days The maximum permafrost is 143cm.

The park is rich in water resources. It originates from Laoha River, which is the source of Liaohe River. It flows through Liuxi Township, Huangtuliangzi town and Ningcheng County, and then into Xiliao River. The drainage area is 1349.13 square kilometers, the surface runoff is 90 million cubic meters, the groundwater is 0.246 cubic meters, and the buried depth is less than 1.5 meters. The water quality is carbonate sodium, calcium, magnesium water, and the mineralization degree is less than 0.5 / liter, which belongs to fresh water.
Biological resources
There are 988 species of plants and 260 species of animals in the park, including 18 species of national endangered plants, such as Juglans mandshurica, Rhododendron and dipterygium grandiflorum, and more than 30 species of national protected animals, such as golden eagle, leopard and swan. There are 219 ancient and famous trees with more than 100 years of history, which are known as "green gene bank" and "animal and plant kingdom" by experts.
Soil resources
The soil in the park is mainly composed of brown soil, cinnamon soil and meadow. Due to different altitudes, the distribution zone of middle and low mountains is formed. Cinnamon soil is distributed between 300-700 meters above sea level, brown soil is distributed above 700 meters above sea level, meadow soil is distributed in valleys, low terraces, shady slopes and semi shady slopes, mostly loam and sandy loam, with a thickness of 30-60 cm. Sandy coarse Valley soil is distributed on sunny slopes, and sandy loam is distributed on sunny slopes The thickness of soil layer is 20-30cm, the pH value of soil is 6.5-7.5, and the content of organic matter is rich. Generally, the content of topsoil is 0.5-4.8%, and the highest is 15%.

Source of Liaohe River
In 1990, more than 30 artists from Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, went upstream along the Liaohe River from Yingkou to Haikou to search for the source. At this point, they carved the four characters "source of Liaohe River".
The source of Liaohe River is abundant in water and clear in water. It is rich in calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, phosphorus and other inorganic salts. It can supplement copper, fluorine, iodine, iron, molybdenum, selenium, zinc and other trace elements that human body lacks. It plays an obvious role in enhancing human tissue function and promoting human health. Every year, it provides 120 million cubic meters of purified water to the middle and lower reaches of the Laoha River and Liaohe River, feeding hundreds of millions of children of Liaohe River.
Poplar in Kowloon
Jiulongpan poplar is a small leaved poplar, also known as "millennium old Poplar". Its trunk diameter is about 5 meters, and its crown width is more than 750 square meters. The nine side trunks are like nine black dragons, which stretch horizontally, upward or downward, spiral and graceful. Looking from the east to the west, the tree looks like a map of China, which is rare. It is known as "exotic poplar in the world". After wind and rain, it is still luxuriant.
Wang Ye Racecourse
The subalpine meadow with an altitude of 1600 meters and an area of nearly 10000 mu is a famous nomadic place for Yelu abaoji, the founder of Liao state, and the emperors of Liao Dynasty. It is called Wangye horse farm in history, and baimadian in Liao history. Liao Jingzong, Liao daozong and Empress Dowager Xiao all came here to hunt.
It is a rare subalpine meadow in North China with high content of soil organic matter and various vegetation. In spring and summer, it is full of flowers and green grass, with white and red stone scenery, pink Rouge flower, yellow Trollius flower, Blue Pigeon Flower, as well as various unknown wild flowers blooming and competing for splendor. The breeze blows, waves and fragrance are refreshing.
Forest bathing beach
The forest coverage rate of Liaoheyuan scenic spot is more than 82%, and the vertical distribution of vegetation is obvious. With the increase of altitude, from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, there are broad-leaved forest, mixed coniferous and broad-leaved forest, coniferous forest and subalpine meadow. Liaoheyuan forest bathing beach is a "natural oxygen bar" and "natural purifier" with fresh air, aseptic, non-toxic and dust-free. It can absorb 6800 tons of sulfur dioxide, 23900 tons of carbon dioxide and 18100 tons of oxygen every year. According to the data, the content of negative oxygen ions is more than 20000 per cubic centimeter. Daily Fen Qin a large number of fungicides, with sterilization, immune function.
Ancient tombs of Liao Dynasty
"Liao history" volume 97 years: "dou Jingyong, Zhongjing people, Zhongshu Ling Zhen's son. Qingning, the first Jinshi, the Secretary of the province to teach the book Lang, Lei Qian Shaojian. In the sixth year of emperor Xianyong, he was awarded the Privy degree. At the beginning of Da'an, he moved to the south of the country to be the Deputy Secretary of the Privy Council. He supervised the revision of the history of the country, knew the affairs of the Privy Council, granted meritorious officials to Tongde, and granted the Duke of Chen. He died nine years ago, and his posthumous title was "Su Xian".
There were 36 stone statues in the cemetery, including five stone tigers, four stone sheep and two stone men. It is exquisitely carved and has both form and spirit. It has been eroded by thousands of years of wind and rain and is well preserved, reflecting the exquisite art of Liao Dynasty. The clear water from the source of Liaohe River flows slowly through the front of the tomb. In front of the tomb, there is Bingdi mountain, behind which there are five peaks. On the north side of the mountain, there are three pointed pillars, which are called "three sticks of incense", and they are naturally worshipped. The cemetery is surrounded by green mountains, clear water and jungle. It can be said that the mountains are far away, and the water worship is affectionate. It is a typical geomantic treasure land.
