Liaobin ancient city · Liaobin tower is a relic of a thousand year old city. This ancient city is located at the intersection of Liaohe River and Xiushui river. It is a famous ferry and traffic thoroughfare in ancient times. It is also a place for military strategists. As early as the Eastern Jin Dynasty, it has become an important military town. Liao Dynasty is the most prosperous golden period in its history. The rulers of Liao Dynasty promoted the prosperity of this area, set up the liaozhou administrative office here, and immigrated a large number from Jizhou. Later, the prosperous ancient city was seriously damaged by the long-term war.

Liaobin ancient city is square, covering an area of about 110000 square meters. The wall is rammed with soil, with two gates in the north and south. Liaobin pagoda is built on Pinggang in the southwest of the ancient city site. It is made of brick, octagonal and thirteen storey, solid and dense eaves. The height of the pagoda is about 44 meters. There are niches on each side of the pagoda, carved with sitting Buddha. Above the Buddha statue, there are two flying stars dancing, and on each side of the Buddha statue there are two waiters.

During the maintenance of Liaobin ancient city and Liaobin pagoda, a number of precious relics including Buddha's teeth and relic were excavated from the underground palace of the pagoda. Among them, the ring foot bucket shaped green glazed bowl with rust pattern is a product of the Tang Dynasty or the Five Dynasties, which is a very rare treasure.
