Rare animals include Siberian tiger, golden monkey, Asian elephant, hippo, Red Crowned Crane, sika deer, etc. It is a good place for wildlife protection and exhibition. Covering an area of 37.25 hectares, the park has animal and primate areas and herbivore areas. Now it has become an important base for wildlife exhibition, species protection, scientific research and science popularization. Harbin forest zoo was built and opened to the public in 2004. At present, there are more than 5000 wild animals in the park. Each animal museum has spacious, transparent space and advanced facilities, and specially designed and built for visitors to visit the exhibition hall in winter, so that visitors can "intimate contact" with animals in a warm environment. It is one of the seven zoos in China, formerly known as the experimental forest farm of Northeast Forestry University, covering an area of 37.25 hectares. There are areas for beasts, primates and herbivores in the park. Amur tiger is a precious animal in the park. The breeding of Amur tiger was successful in 1957. Today, tigers in the park are bred by themselves, and some are specially introduced from Siberia to ensure that tiger species do not degenerate. Although they are all grown up in cages, they are still pure and majestic. The mascot of the eighth ice and snow festival selected the Northeast Tiger "Weiwei" in the park. Asian elephant, white rhinoceros and hippo are the largest animals in the zoo, and they are also the key "care" objects of the zoo. There are more than 1000 pieces of heating in the elephant hall to ensure that the indoor temperature is above 20 ℃. There are more than 100 animals in the primate Museum, such as suspension monkey, lemur, squirrel monkey, baboon, chimpanzee, and so on. Thermometers are hung in front of their cages. Although wolves, bears, wild boars and other animals are naturally Hardy, the zoo has also built underground holes and tree holes for them to keep out the wind and snow. Harbin Zoo has now become an important base for wildlife exhibition, species protection, scientific research and science popularization.
