Shenzhen University Town

Shenzhen university town of Shenzhen is located in the northeast of Nanshan District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province (xilitanglang District), close to Shenzhen wildlife park, about 10 km away from Shenzhen high tech Industrial Park. The overall planning construction area is 10 square kilometers. The first phase of planning development and construction is 3.8 square kilometers, which is divided into East and West campuses. The construction of university town began in 2002, and the construction of teaching infrastructure was basically completed in September 2003. By June 1, 2012, a teaching and research building of 400000 square meters, a student apartment of 66000 square meters and a library of 46000 square meters will be built.

Shenzhen University Town is the only graduate school group in China approved by the Ministry of education and co founded by the local government and famous universities to train full-time graduate students. It was founded in August 2000. The purpose of establishing the university town is to realize the great leap forward development of Shenzhen's higher education, improve the ability and stamina of Shenzhen's independent innovation, improve the economic quality, population quality and cultural taste, and promote Shenzhen to take the lead in basically realizing modernization. By 2012, Shenzhen University Town has made remarkable achievements, and has gradually become four platforms for Shenzhen's high-level talents training and gathering, high-level scientific research, high-tech information and high-level international exchanges.

Shenzhen Graduate School of Tsinghua University is a high-level talent training base and scientific and technological innovation base jointly established by Tsinghua University and Shenzhen city. It is the experimental field of Tsinghua University's educational reform and an important part of creating a world-class University.

Peking University ShenZhen Graduate School

The Shenzhen Graduate School of Peking University (Nanguo Yanyuan) is a higher education institution with full-time graduate education as the main body. Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) is jointly built by Harbin Institute of technology and Shenzhen municipal government. Its predecessor is Shenzhen Graduate School of Harbin Institute of technology, which was founded in 2002. Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) is a campus of Harbin Institute of technology, a university in Guangdong Province and Shenzhen city. Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), with full-time undergraduate and postgraduate education as the main and part-time education as the auxiliary, is the first member of China nine University Alliance (C9) to enter Shenzhen to recruit undergraduates, a national "985 Project" construction university and a "double first class" construction a university. At present, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) has more than 400 full-time teachers, more than 150 part-time teachers, more than 130 postdoctoral students and more than 6200 full-time students, including more than 2600 undergraduates and more than 3500 master's and doctoral students. National Supercomputing Shenzhen Center

The National Supercomputing Shenzhen Center (Shenzhen Cloud Computing Center), with a total investment of 1.23 billion yuan, covers 12000 square meters of construction land and 43000 square meters of construction area in phase I. The host system is developed by the Institute of computing technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and manufactured by Dawning Information Industry (Beijing) Co., Ltd. in May 2010, it was measured and confirmed by the world super computer organization. The computing speed is 1271 trillion times per second, ranking second in the world. The project is a major project of the National 863 program, Guangdong Province and Shenzhen city. The project is based in Shenzhen, facing the whole country, serving South China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. It will undertake various large-scale scientific computing and engineering computing tasks, and provide cloud computing services for the society with its powerful data processing and storage capacity. Xili campus of Shenzhen University

Xili campus of Shenzhen University was opened in early February 2017, and the overall discipline layout moved in as a whole. Xili campus project is divided into two phases. Among them, the first batch of medical department, School of life and marine science, School of chemical and environmental engineering and School of materials have settled in, with more than 4500 students; School of economics, School of management and School of law plan to settle in by the end of 2019, with an estimated number of 14500 students.

Shenzhen University City Library (Shenzhen Science and Technology Library) is built on the basis of Shenzhen University City Library. In June 2006, the Shenzhen Municipal Government approved the establishment of the Shenzhen Science and Technology Library, and the former Shenzhen Institute of science and technology information was incorporated as a whole. The library is subordinate to the office of the Management Committee of Shenzhen University Town, and is under the guidance of the Municipal Bureau of science and technology information and the Municipal Bureau of culture. It implements the management mode of "two brands and one set of personnel" with the library of Shenzhen University Town, and is a public institution fully funded by the municipal government.

Shenzhen University Town Library, as a library jointly owned by Peking University, Tsinghua University, Shenzhen Graduate School of Harbin Institute of technology, Southern University of science and technology and Shenzhen Institute of advanced technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences, is open to the citizens of Shenzhen. It is the first library in China with dual functions of University library and public library. Network Information Center

The network information center of Shenzhen University Town is a subordinate institution of the University Town Management Office. It is responsible for the management, operation and maintenance of the campus network of Shenzhen University Town, as well as the management and maintenance of the building intelligent system of Shenzhen University Town, and assists the Management Committee Office in promoting the information construction of the projects under construction in Shenzhen University Town.

The campus network of Shenzhen university town was built in 2003. By 2008, it has formed a 10 Gigabit core, Gigabit convergence and 100 Gigabit access. There are more than 20000 information points in the park, with double export links of Gigabit education network and 100m telecommunication network. With the central computer room as the core, there are four 10 Gigabit secondary nodes in Tsinghua University Shenzhen Graduate School, Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School, Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen Graduate School, Shenzhen Science and Technology Library (Shenzhen University City Library) and one Gigabit node in Southern University of science and technology.

In 2005, the 2.5G link between the university town and the Guangzhou node of CERNET2, the next generation Internet in China, was opened, marking the university town's formal access to the IPv6 next generation Internet and becoming the main node of CNGI in Shenzhen. Led by Shenzhen Bureau of science, technology and information, the first phase project of Shenzhen IPv6 test network has started construction. Relying on the university city network and 2.5gipv6 link, a large-scale IPv6 test and R & D platform with dual stack operation will be established in the University City, which will strongly promote the R & D process of Shenzhen next generation Internet technology.
