historical significance
The establishment of Sanxingdui Museum makes people have a new understanding of Bashu culture and changes the view of the historians, that is, compared with the Central Plains, the ancient Bashu area is a relatively closed place, which has no connection or little communication with the Central Plains Civilization. The Sanxingdui Museum and its ruins prove that it should be an important cultural center around the Xia and Shang dynasties or even earlier in China, and has a certain connection with the Central Plains culture, which verifies the authenticity of ancient Shu records in ancient literature. In the past, historians believed that the birthplace of the Chinese nation was the Yellow River Basin, and then gradually spread to the whole of China. The discovery of Sanxingdui pushed forward the history of ancient Shu to 5000 years ago, proving that the Yangtze River Basin was the birthplace of the Chinese nation as well as the Yellow River basin, proving that there was an ancient civilization in the Yangtze River Basin no less than that in the Yellow River Basin. Some people believe that Sanxingdui was the birthplace of the ancient Shu It shows the culture of the ancient Qiang and Yi people.
