Zhao's ancestral hall
Zhao's ancestral hall is located at the foot of Fenghuang mountain, Longhu chop head village, Nanhu Township, Pingyang County, with a construction area of 500 square meters and an area of 1200 square meters. According to the volume one of Zhao's ancestral hall: "on the 11th day of Jiaqing, i.e. 1806 ad, the ancestral hall was built in the fish pond of Nanhu Lake in the 45th capital city, sitting at Bingxiang Ren.". The building faces north from the South and consists of the front hall, the main hall, the East-West corridor, the doorstep and the flagpole stone.

The main hall is seven Bay wide with six columns and eleven purlins in depth. The beams in the open room are of lifting beam type, and the other beams are of mixed lifting beam type. With a front porch, the pillars of the porch and the front and back pillars of the Ming Dynasty adopt columns with drum shaped plinths; the other pillars are square columns with a Yi shaped plinth. The front eaves column is a lotus shaped vertical column with flying rafters. In Ming Dynasty, caisson was built in different ways, with different shapes and exquisite workmanship. The ground is divided into high and low two layers, which is the ground of Sanhe. The front eaves of Sanhe are divided into square inclined trowel shape, and some parts are carved with circular patterns. The steps are paved with stone strips, and the platform is set outside. There is a shrine on the back eaves, on which the memorial tablet of Zhao's ancestors is worshipped. The falling wing type suspended Hill roof is decorated with dragon kisses at both ends, covered with small green tiles, and provided with hook head for dripping water.
The front hall is five bay wide, three columns and five purlins deep, and the beam frame is bucket type. The front eaves column steps on the outside three times to set up flying rafters; the rear eaves column jumps to the outside bucket. There is a plaque of "Zhao's ancestral hall" on the Jian Fang of Ming Dynasty. The falling wing type suspended Hill roof is decorated with dragon kisses at both ends, with hook head and dripping water. The corridor is three Bay wide with three columns and five purlins in depth. The front eaves jump out. The back eaves are equipped with eaves wall, bucket beam type beam frame and suspended hill type roof. The two ends are decorated with rolled grass ridge and water dripping with hook head.
The door is of brick structure, single bay, imitation wood, with single step beam, Dougong, architrave and other components hidden on each side. There is a plaque of "ancestral temple" on the front architrave, and a plaque of "Qingmu" on the back architrave. Two gates are opened in the middle, with a suspended Hill roof, ridge ornaments at both ends, tubular tiles on the top, and round animal heads outside the rafters. The two ends of the gate platform are connected with a wall, and four pairs of flagpoles are erected outside the wall.
Cultural relic value
Zhao's ancestral hall is a place where Zhao's people worship their ancestors. The overall layout of the building is complete, the interior workmanship is exquisite, and the carving is exquisite. It is an important material for the study of religious communication and clan culture in Pingyang area, and has high cultural relics and artistic value.
