Daocheng white tower

The only park with the theme of white pagoda in Kangnan area is the highest in the hearts of Tibetan compatriots, which is unique in the world. On the road from Litang to Daocheng, if you see this towering and clean white tower, the long-distance bumpy is the end.

Its pure square base is divided into five layers. In the center of the highest layer is a tall white tower, surrounded by four layers of small white towers. From top to bottom, there are 15, 23, 31 and 39 towers in each layer, a total of 108 small white towers. The small white tower is surrounded by the big white tower, which is quite spectacular. At the base of the tower, there are rows of Scripture barrels for Tibetans to worship. It is said that it was built in 2009. At that time, there was only a big white tower in the middle, but there were no 108 small towers around.

Many Tibetans turn around the White Pagoda in the morning. It is said that most people turn around three times.

Daocheng white tower

Daocheng white tower, located in Daocheng County, Sichuan Province, also known as Zunsheng talin and Shengli tower, is called langjiequdeng in Tibetan. It is said that at the time of Sakyamuni's nirvana, many of his family members prayed for the Buddha's Dharma body to stay for a long time, so the Buddha ordered the Zunsheng pagoda to be built and personally blessed Kaiguang to represent the Dharma body.

Main attractions

Daocheng white tower is located at the end of Daocheng bridge, behind the Daocheng gas station. The pure square layout is the base of Daocheng white tower. The white tower is divided into three parts, the spire, the body and the base. Rows of warping wheels are placed on the base for the Tibetan people to worship. The tower has three parts, and a Bodhisattva is worshipped on the top.

Daocheng White Pagoda, also known as white pagoda temple, is the largest white pagoda in Ganzi Prefecture.

The main building of the white pagoda is a 37 meter high pagoda. The three floor seats at the bottom of the pagoda are built according to the proportion of the base of the praying Hall of the temple of heaven in Beijing. The three-tier throne consists of 512 brass warping cones and several stone relief ornaments.

White pagoda is one of the outdoor pagodas. The outdoor tower is usually built near the temple. There are 119 small towers around the main tower in the White Tower Park, forming a unique tower forest. The appearance of the white tower is as white as jade. The upper part is round and the lower part is magnificent.

The main body of the pagoda has a big Buddha Hall in four directions, mainly in the Han style. In addition to the main tower, there are 107 small Buddha pagodas with a height of 4 meters around the main tower. On the wall of the first layer of the pagoda, there are 176 designs of national protected animals and 512 hand turning wheels made of brass.

The golden roof, sun and moon, umbrella cover, eaves drip mold, thirteen layer Falun Zhongyi wheel, umbrella cover lotus, zangsheng, vase face door and six spirit holding seat of the great pagoda are made of brass and pasted with No. 98 pure gold plating.

The interior decoration of the Sutra pavilion's "no dirt and pure hall" has a number of refined Chinese style wooden niches. The hall is mainly for Sakyamuni's wooden Buddha statue, which is 2.1 meters high. In addition, the carved six spirits holding seat is 2.6 meters high. In front of the Sutra Pavilion, there is a "simmer oven" 3 meters high and 1.5 meters wide.

It is the custom of Tibetans to turn mountains, water and white pagodas. Therefore, all kinds of white pagodas can be seen in Tibetan areas, but the scale of white pagoda is the largest. Three circles around the white tower is a compulsory course for local Tibetans every morning, middle and evening. (Note: both the warp drum and the white tower need to turn clockwise)
