Shenyang University Shenyang University is a multi-level and multi type comprehensive university which covers 10 disciplines, including philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture and management. Fengtian higher industrial school

In June 1905, Zhao Erxun approved the invitation of Ye Jingkui, the general office of Fengtian Academic Affairs Office, to establish Fengtian Industrial School (changed to Fengtian higher industrial school in 1909) in the busy street outside the provincial capital daximent. In September of the same year, the school began, and Xu Hongbao was the supervisor (i.e. the president).

 

From 1909 to 1922, it was renamed as Fengtian higher industrial school, Fengtian Industrial school, Fengtian public industrial school and Fengtian provincial class a industrial school.

In November 1922, it was officially called the first engineering high school and Vocational School of Fengtian province.

In April 1949, the provincial Shenyang No.1 engineering vocational school, which was accepted by the Ministry of industry of the former Northeast People's government, was merged with the Northeast higher vocational school and named Shenyang Engineering Higher Vocational School of the Ministry of industry of the Northeast administrative committee.

In May 1953, it was changed to Shenyang Machinery Industry School of the Ministry of heavy industry of the Central People's government

In 1956, it was changed to Shenyang Metallurgical Machinery Industry School, Ministry of metallurgical industry.

In December 1958, the school was upgraded to a junior college, named Shenyang Metallurgical Machinery College.

In June 1963, the junior college was suspended and the secondary technical school was re established. It was named Shenyang Metallurgical Machinery School.

In 1972, the school resumed enrollment and was under the leadership of Shenyang Metallurgical Bureau.

In 1973, it was under the leadership of Liaoning Metallurgical Bureau.

In December 1978, with the approval of the State Council, it was restored to an ordinary university. The name of the university is still Shenyang Metallurgical Machinery College, which belongs to the leadership of the Ministry of metallurgical industry.

In 1992, with the consent of the Ministry of metallurgy and the approval of the State Education Commission, the school was renamed Shenyang Institute of technology.

 

Xinmin public school

In 1905, Zhao Erxun set up "normal school" in Shenyang.

 

In 1906, on the basis of setting up "normal schools" in all the counties of Liaoning Province, "simple normal schools" were set up in Xinmin, Liaoyang and Fengcheng.

 

In 1910, Xinmin public school stopped recruiting students.

In 1912, Xinmin public school was resumed.

In 1915, Xinmin public school was renamed Xinmin county normal school.

In 1923, Xinmin county normal school was renamed Xinmin county normal junior middle school.

In 1931, Xinmin county normal junior high school stopped recruiting students.

In 1933, Xinmin county normal junior high school resumed.

In 1938, Xinmin county normal junior high school was transformed into Fengtian Xinmin first National College (Agricultural Science).

In 1946, Fengtian Xinmin first national college was renamed as Liaoning Xinmin first middle school, and later renamed as Liaoning Xinmin normal school

In 1948, Liaoning Xinmin normal school was renamed as North Liaoning Xinmin normal school.

In 1949, Xinmin Normal School of Northern Liaoning Province was renamed as Xinmin Normal School of western Liaoning Province

In 1953, Liaoning Xinmin normal school was renamed as Liaoning Xinmin normal school.

In 1978, Xinmin County Wuqi teachers' school was renamed as Shenyang Xinmin normal school.

 

Shenyang Normal School

In 1958, Shenyang second normal school was founded.

In 1959, Shenyang Tiexi normal school and Shenyang third normal school were merged into Shenyang second normal school.

In 1970, Shenyang No.2 normal school was renamed Shenyang No.7 No.2 teachers school.

In 1974, Shenyang May 7th second teachers' school was renamed Shenyang second teachers' school.

In 1979, Shenyang No.2 teachers' school was renamed Shenyang normal school.

 

Shenyang University of Finance and Economics

In 1964, Shenyang Vocational School of Finance and accounting was founded.

In 1965, Shenyang accounting vocational school was renamed as Shenyang accounting school.

In 1978, Shenyang Finance and accounting school was renamed as Shenyang Finance and economics school, and Shenyang Education College was established.

In 1985, Shenyang Economic Management Cadre College, Shenyang junior college class of Liaoning University of Finance and economics and Shenyang University of Finance and economics merged to form Shenyang University of Finance and economics.

Shenyang University

In 1980, Liaoning Branch of Liaoning University and Liaoning Branch of Northeast Institute of technology were founded.

In 1981, Liaoning Branch of Northeast Institute of technology and Liaoning Branch of Liaoning University merged and upgraded to Shenyang University.

In 1987, Shenyang University of Finance and economics was transformed into Shenyang University of Finance and economics.

In April 1995, with the approval of the Ministry of metallurgical industry and the Shenyang Municipal People's government, Shenyang Polytechnic College Affiliated to the Ministry of metallurgical industry and Shenyang University (including the agricultural branch of Shenyang University) jointly built the project.

In 1997, the university successfully passed the undergraduate qualification evaluation.

In 1998, the former State Education Commission abolished the former Shenyang University and the former Shenyang Institute of technology and named it Shenyang University.

In 1999, Shenyang staff art and engineering college was merged into Shenyang University, Shenyang Xinmin normal school and Shenyang normal school were merged into normal college of Shenyang University.

 

In 2003, with the approval of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, Shenyang University became a master's degree awarding unit and set up three master's programs in the first batch.

 

In 2005, Shenyang Institute of education and Normal College of Shenyang University were merged into Shenyang University.

 

In August 2010, with the approval of the Ministry of human resources and social security and the national post doctoral Management Committee, the post doctoral research station of science and Technology Park of Shenyang University was established.

 

In October 2011, the University was selected into the second batch of excellent engineers education and training plan universities of the Ministry of education.

 

In 2012, the University's doctoral talent training project of "contaminated site remediation and risk management" was officially approved, and the doctoral degree was awarded according to the main supporting discipline of the project, environmental science and engineering. The doctoral talent training project applied by the university to serve the special needs of the country was successfully approved by the academic office of the State Council, and became one of the local universities with doctoral training qualification.

In August 2014, the University was granted four master's degree authorization points. In December, the university successfully obtained the University qualification of recruiting overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students.

 

In 2015, the University was approved to be one of the first 10 pilot universities for transformation and development in the province. In the same year, Shenyang University signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shengjing bank.

 

In March 2016, the University's five master's degree authorization points passed the special evaluation of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council.

 

In December, it was selected as one of the first batch of innovation and entrepreneurship education reform demonstration universities in Liaoning Province.

 

In April 2017, the school was approved as the key construction unit of provincial training base. In July, the University signed a tripartite school enterprise strategic cooperation agreement with Huawei Technology Co., Ltd. and Shenzhen Xunfang Technology Co., Ltd., and jointly established "Huawei information and Network Technology College of Shenyang University".

 

In March 2018, the school was selected into the first batch of "new engineering" research and practice projects of the Ministry of education. In July, the school signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Shenyang Daily Media Group Co., Ltd.

 

In August, Shenyang University signed a comprehensive deepening cooperation agreement with Huawei Technology Co., Ltd.

 

On November 29, 2019, Shenyang municipal government issued "opinions on supporting Shenyang University to build a first-class university of the same kind in China".
