Antiquities and Monuments Office
(English: antiquities and documents office, AMO)
Established in 1976 under the Antiquities and monuments Ordinance, chapter 53 of the laws of Hong Kong, the Department of leisure and cultural services of the government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the people's Republic of China aims to ensure the protection of the most valuable monuments, buildings and cultural relics in Hong Kong.

The AMO has a close relationship with the Antiquities Advisory Committee of the Hong Kong public sector. The committee is responsible for conducting research and the office of Antiquities and monuments (AMO) is responsible for implementing the relevant decisions, including determining Hong Kong's statutory monuments and rating Hong Kong's historical buildings.
